im using Windows 7, but my Father also uses Windows 7 but he only gets on 20% with 8GB,I'd find that difficult to believe however, as far as I know it does have a limit to how far it goes. I think it can only ever use up to 4GB at max.
i have 3GB because i wanted my PC fast and they didnt have more than that(1 card of 2 1 card of 1 GB for RAM) so this is how i ended up...
and with PC wizard it says that i use 50%...
"Cached: 7.8GB (most marked as available because for other stuff can use it at any moment)"
"Actually free: 16 megabytes."

In fact some users mod their system to make it use more on purpose.
Also windows tends to do this:Quote"Cached: 7.8GB (most marked as available because for other stuff can use it at any moment)"

Regardless turn off your Nortan 360 Ram hog (Joking, I hope you don't actually have that)
And you should be fine. Barely any applications even really utilize ram to the degree they should these days.
It's all about a half decent CPU, and a good Graphics card (assuming you game)
32 GB with what you want to do will never happen. You will never need that much. That's server grade.
8GB will do everything you ask and more. I promise you.
And if you can't record at 1080p in Gmod that's probably nothing to do with you ram. I have fraps and have done 1080p recording in gmod just fine........ with 4 gb of ram.
SIDE SIDE SIDE note:
Don't use fraps, get BandiCam.
Our server box hosted about 10 servers at the time of having 12 GB? FYI, my PC is the host of: terraria server, Gmod server, i only put them up when i use them, so that is a side note for the 32 GB
And RAM would barely help because the video card and processor would not be able to keep up because thats most of what those things use danteYeah, that's what I was thinking. You should get a processor and graphics card to match that RAM. I have a feeling it'll be more useful for that stuff you wanna do than just RAM.
And RAM would barely help because the video card and processor would not be able to keep up because thats most of what those things use danteYes I know. But RAM helps since i'm using 2.5 gigs. I have ordered parts for my new computer which will have 8 and a Graphics Card, and processors to match.
2 TB.
