So recently I was thinking and an idea sprung into my head I thought was pretty interesting. The idea is simple; we are all already dead. Currently what is happening is our memories are just replaying one final time start to finish and after a piece of time is passed, it is then deleted permanently. So the minute you have been using to read this over? Now it is gone for good. I hypothesize that if there was a reason for this (and there doesn't have to be) it would be to delete old time and make room for new memories and such to be made. What do you guys think? Why do you either agree or disagree?
Indeed.

I don't think I'm dead, but there are some interesting sci-fi's on this idea.

But all of this stuff is already known and understood by science and isn't the way you describe.
So this isn't even a debate :O

Idk I always feel like we are all on our deathbeds already and this is our flashback of our lives right now.

Is this kind of like the "Downloading our memories into an AI so we can live forever" kind of deal?

and the things we come up with in our imaginations are genetic or spiritual memory from past lives, centuries and species even.
