Killing Floor Ping Issue

Ok well i'm hoping you guys have some solutions cause tripwire is useless, and so is steam and google searches.
Here is my issue:
Ever since i reformatted my computer and reinstalled KF, i've been experiencing lag/ping spikes. When i check the scoreboard my ping is around 30-60 and spikes to 900's and drops for a split second. It gets even worse when anyone or i even use a mic.
Basically, it will keep doing it the ENTIRE game which is anoyying and i can't even play the game properly without having zombies go through walls.
So any ideas?

Well there's your problem... You're playing L4D2.
>Playing Killing Floor
>Calls Experiments "Zombies"
>Expects me to not troll youSerious note, is it like that in any other games where your ping spikes?

back on topic: It only occurs on Killing floor, i'm connected to a modem so wireless is not an issue.
Tf 2, hl2dm, etc are all fine.

Do you have dual monitors?
I couldn't run fullscreen due to dual screen.

Sounds like faulty wiring you could contact your internet provider otherwise it might be something running in the background that is causing your ping to spike

Yes, faulty wiring that specifically decides his ping is going to spike in a single game /sarcasm/. No other games are bothered by it therefore it can't be something with the wiring.
I also doubt it's a program in the background because like I said, if it were taking up bandwidth, he'd experience lag in other games. Unless SOMEHOW his computer decides Killing Floor eats more CPU/RAM than any other game he has played. I think it's probably an incompatibility with the game somehow.
Could also just be tripwire's servers.

Graphic card overheating? Make sure the fan is kicking on. I've had the same thing happen, where the fan wouldn't kick on, and some of my games would rub fine, while others would crash or have huge spikes.

Nah, cant be vidcard overheating.
Otherwise you have issues with other games aswell. And possible a BSOD.

Depends. When my fan died on my old card, I could play TF2, L4D2 and other games fine, if I played something like Just Cause 2 or something with better graphics it would black out the screen.

KF isn't that stressing for your vidcard.

My computer gets as hot as hell whenever I play KF but my framerate is usually pretty good.

Also ping=/= frame rate.
Ping is the delay from server/client peer-2-peer <---> your computer.
