<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en5hWeodMws" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en5hWeodMws</a><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfgoDDh4kE0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfgoDDh4kE0</a>

This is just another case of Censorship from companies, and It's a massive pisstake.

Petition to have Garry's Incident's team, Wild Games Studio, removed from YouTube's license system for censorship.

That or just to bomb their email with "Hi there, I see you've censored a few negative reviews of your game."

I really hate this kinda thing, glad Dan (NerdCubed) did a rant on it for me.

Not a fan of the nerd guy but HATE CENSORSHIP!

It's horrible and it should be dealt with.

It's honestly what is leaving room for youtube to become obsolete to a new Video company that cares about their consumers. Better watch it youtube!

It probably will not do anything, but here's a petition to get it removed off of steam, not just because of the terrible devs, but because of the terrible game as well. They should not make money off of this:

Its a moot point anyway isn't it? I though works cannot use their copyright law for the purpose of reviews I.E. somebody reviews Harry Potter,  using some footage in the process. It isn't copyright infringement because its being reviewed, and since reviews are built on opinion, you can't get your lawyers to tell them to knock it off.

It's fair use, actually.
(I'm using Wikipedia because its the first link on a Google search and I'm 400% busy this week so I can't do any in-depth research...)
Examples of fair use include commentary, search engines, criticism, news reporting, research, teaching, library archiving and scholarship. (Source)

If you couldn't criticize a work using examples of the work, it wouldn't be as good of a work. Even reviews on websites and news articles (see news reporting, above) use screenshots or videos of the game. Video makers just take it one step further and rather than using screenshots, they use video clips.

The way YouTube handles copyright claims is deplorable. There doesnt need to be any basis or reason. If a company points you out, you're done, no questions asked. Fighting back is difficult, and damn near impossible for smaller channels. I feel that a new video sharing site will rise soon; one that isn't owned by a corrupt corporation (at first). That will be the death of YouTube.

See, the thing is that YouTube wasn't corrupt. It was an independent company that saw an opportunity to reach more people and get more money with Google, who then allowed people to make their own money. Then copyright problems came up, then they implemented the new system that everyone hates, and they've been changing it ever since, but it's still pretty damn bad for the uploader.

The problem with YouTube now is that it has no people behind it: Google is expanding but never expanded YouTube's team, so now unless you're a big channel there isn't even any support, let alone copyright protection.

The plunger could simply be out of view, the pants + it's location behind the toilet may hide it... Or it's a fraud and we need to take down the system with out golden axes while destroying the rest of the demon-spawn so that we may live in a utopia.

Meh, there was a whole witchhunt going on, on reddit.

It can be overly hyped though. As of a recent post. The team apologiezed to TB and his fans.
Somewhere on the steam discussions.

They also were caught in the act by multiple sources.

If they apologized before the publicizing of the story, then I give them credit.

If not, they're just covering their butts, and I still don't approve.

I'm no fan of the "slippery slope" argument but this particular incident I think opens up a can of worms. Either you spend the proper time to make a product good and polished (which they clearly didn't, Jesus it looks like they tried to re-create FarCry, and failed horribly) or you don't, and deal with it. They should have listened to their critics and just work harder on the next game, or fix the current one, not censor reviews they didn't like.

Who's to say that EA can't just do this with their games. Hell, I'm surprised that War Z didn't try this out first.
