Several rules must be followed if you wish to post an article relating to news here.
Source
You must have a link to the source of the posted news, without a source the news is pretty much useless and in some cases not true. And remember, a blog isn't a reliable source.
Date
The news must be current. If it is older than 20 days it will be locked. After a week of an article being posted the thread will be locked as it is old news. If you wish to carry on the discussion refer to the Debate or General Discussion board.
Also try not to post boring local news like "Former Bemidji mayor to be honored on his 95th birthday" Because no one really gives a shit about those unless they live there.
