If you read the article it says it was designed for little kids.  Much easier to break something that folds up than one thick object.

It's not as nice as the 3DS simply because of their intended audience for the device, I fail to understand anyone complaining about something not designed for their use anyways, I mean, you might as well complain that kids diapers don't fit you :P

To comments of not being portable: it is smaller than a laptop, and laptops are portable so what's the complaint?

I'm still getting a 3DS with Pokemon X, the price difference isn't enough for this new one to be worth it to me.
