Solved Ban Appeals / Re: Celcius got banned :(
« on: February 10, 2011, 02:42:58 PM »
Decent reason for a ban, I'll stick with Dwight on this one.

Showing signs of wallhacking, like following through the wall and staring at them for example, is a reasonable ban. Cheating is taken seriously and therefore should be punishable as so.

Radars only update once every 30 seconds so knowing his exact location at all times is a very good indication of wallhacking.

If you slow it down before the kill, it'd look a bit weird because of the distortion.
And the reload was just to see if I was doing it right haha.

Basically; I'm just experimenting.

This is retardedly bad, don't say anything.
I'm just looking on something to improve on. I need a more consistent way to create slow-mo without any distortion.

Shut up, this is digital art. trollface

Skieski, I'm opposed to both.

Ghast, sure, war has strengthened us martially, strategically, and technologically (in some ways), but the relevance of those benefits is largely confined to war and and I don't think the other benefits overwhelm the negative aspects and consequences of war.

Boxman, how does that good fortune justify war?
War isn't justified, but it doesn't have to be.
During the Great Depression, 23,000 suicides occurred in the first year... Regardless of war, death is going to happen but at a slower rate. Whether Ghast wants to admit it or not, War does balance population.
At this rate, we'll only have war and old age to kill us off.

Unless everyone just decides to have a mass suicide...
Just going to point that out.

Okay, I don't think you understand me. I was joking about the awesome vocabulary of your post.

I did just want to make a point, really, but I put it in this subforum because I'm open to debate about it.

Although war is immoral and more deleterious than anything else, it has its advantges.
- Increased economic activity (during an arms race)
How is economic activity on the same level as human life?

Quote
- Depending on significance, can be a source of influence on modern literature
How is literature on the same level as human life?
Quote
- Makes for good television/cinema recordings.
How is television/cinema on the same level as human life?
fucking lol'd

Not everything has to be on-par with human life (in terms of significance) as if that were the case, we would not have moved anywhere in the world, and technological advancement would be a myth.
Sorry to cut in here, but without World War 2, we would've lost about the same amount lives due to the Great Depression.

The problem is that without it, our country would have had a decreased population and economy.

Also, before you say "Again, Fertility is what balances population"
Say that to the 400,000 people who died... Just sayin'

Believe me, Just because a girl can get knocked up, that doesn't mean she will.
Just sayin'

Response to Cryptos "How is economic activity on the same level as human life?"

True, but that does mean that without war, our population will eventually skyrocket out of control to the point where our government will have to enforce rules, idiotic rules, like the Chinese government...

I believe the law is one children per family.

Edit: I need to pay more attention before I submit it.

...Really though, what other natural predator do we have other than ourselves?
 Think about that.
