The Art Forum / Re: House Music
« on: February 03, 2013, 07:09:51 PM »
Yeah; well when I first got into music I started with Daft Punk and house so it's been a while since that's what I've really paid attention to. I didn't mean to list a electronica as a genre to pick from but I agree because the entire genre IS Electronica. I've even read the Wiki which lists all the subgenres of minihouse, acid house, progressive house, euro house; and so on. I was obsessed with it for a few years then I found that Renard dude and found myself more involved in Breakbeat and heavier more complex techno's. I'll throw a few out and see how you like them like Phutureprimitive; it's light and perty sounding while still involving some bassy wubs. I don't really care for Skrillex-esque dubstep because it's just annoying but stuff like this is relaxing and entrancing like house can be.

Or I could post more music like Benny Benassi and others; another one I was obsessed with in my younger days after hearing Satisfaction.. but I see you've got the lighter more repetitive original house style in mind. I think to be honest I was kinda originally kinda shied away from this kind of music because it felt a bit boring at first; like your first daft punk song was one of my least favorites by them, but I'm not saying I don't like it; because it's a cool catchy song but I just skipped it often.. lol

Anywho. You know Benassi rite?

+1, get this fellow admin status, pronto.

And, IMHO it is time to have a Head Admin, again, for ZM.

Inject doesn't want us to have a ZM HA though D:

Vertex low rez is soooooo wide, holy shit.
I've started using it on my big monitors, just because. It uses all the space. None wasted.

I'm amazed at how I could possibly have ever even remotely liked inferno after using this for like a month.

Yeah; it's nice how I can see everything but I'm still getting used to how wide it is.

Yeah I'm so picky I'm sorting through all my music and trying to figure what's House, what's electronic, what's just dubstep and meh; you should rename the thread Electro music since that's basically the overlord genre; and daft punk is considered Electronic I think. Though I've heard them called Acid House before; but anywho you started with Daft Punk I'll continue with a Deadmau5 track; my favoritefavorite by him.

I'll probably be spamming this thread with random bits of electronic music I feel like sharing; some may be a bit dubsteppy but only if it sounds bootiful.

Totodile for the fucking win; the Totodile family puts the new crocodile dark/sand type family to shame. I always went with water Pokemon since I played Blue. Tepig was my first Fire type and Turtwig was my first Grass type last generation.

Oh; well is there a way to move the link chain down maybe? The CG >> CG tech >> CG suggestions>> post thing? It's just annoying since it doesn't look like anythings preventing me from clicking them like I used to; but oh well.

Gearing up for X and Y since I actually give a shit again.  I thought Black and white 1 & 2 looked dumb so I never played after Platinum

Yeah that was my opinion on it when I first started playing and I gave up for some reason after the first gym badge and hadn't played until the other day.

Now that I'm playing again I've come to love it just like any old Pokemon after you motherfuckers made me crave it so much. It's only gen5 Pokemon too which makes it weird but some of the Pokemon are badass like the first few here.. but there are definitely some dumb ones like the gear.. that evolves into 2 gears.. that combines with another gear.. It's a really fun game so far though; I have battle animations off and text on fast though so things move quickly. I grind hard dawg; and it's not too painful for me at least.

Spoiler for Hidden:
Emboar
Leavanny
Scolipede
Zebstrika
Unfezant

Then we have the stranger looking ones..

Seismitoad

Gothitelle

Gigalith(Final form of Rogenrola/Boldore)

Simisage

Swoobat

And just since I'm spamming pictures might as well throw in some of the most hilarious Gen5's;

Vanilluxe

Bouffalant

TRUBBISH; THE POISON TYPE TRASH BAG

Foongus

The Ice cream bowl has 120 base sp attack and it gets much stronger; and learns avalanche, sheer cold and all sorts of cool shit. I ain't even mayd

Check out my screenshot for a reference; even though trying to click the area below the navigation bar will explain what I'm talking about for you.

http://s342.photobucket.com/albums/o410/pillzXcrashed/?action=view&current=navigation.png

The "Conjointgaming [Game On] >> CG Technical Area >> CG community suggestions >> thread " area is usually clickable; as in you can click on CG Technical area and it takes you there; but something about the dropdown portion that includes Donations, and Logout blocks my ability to do so. It's been like this for quite some time now.

If I make my window smaller; they all drop down like logout and donations does. Trying to click on the links I speak of simply highlights the whole navigational bar so meh.

I was wondering if we could somehow fix this; because I am used to using those links to navigate quicker. Was it intentional?

Admin Department / Re: Admin Post Count Requirement
« on: February 02, 2013, 09:00:21 PM »
We could refine the forum a bit to better suit newcomers, maybe. Have the requirements for admin be somewhere visible or like Llama said we could have the section simply restricted, but still visible until they have 10-20 posts.

I feel our two admins board are a bit unorganized and could use some cleaning up and clarification. Not only is at the bottom of the forum section but Admin Applications where we explain the requirements is a child board that many newcomers may not see. When they find it for some reason they often miss the requirements thread completely; maybe have them post on that they've read the requirements in their intro thread or somewhere else then we allow them access to apply.

Perhaps we could post the rules and requirements threads into the introduction threads of newcomers; or have CG Info bot send PM's to new users about the such.

I kind of think the forums needs lot's of cleaning up and simplification. For example this doesn't need to be a child board anymore: http://www.conjointgaming.com/forum/index.php?board=76.0 and the solved applications need to be moved over; etc.

Simple little things that might make the forums look "scarier" than they really are to newcomers. Maybe someone could throw me moderator and let me help clean up since Skies is slackin~

Trolling is not something a CL should do.
Wow what? How am I trolling?

I'm sorry if I work my ass off get a server setup for all your guys and get a little angry when all you do is bitch at me. Why am I doing anything for CG again?

You may not be trolling which is intentionally causing rage in others; but you appear to do so unintentionally which IMO is even worse than trolling. Telling everyone they have a sandy vagina because we want X or Y is just.. silly and unprofessional to say the least. I'm sorry if we upset you so much with our opinions but that's just uncalled for. If you don't want to be CL you don't have to be; but if you're going to be one please be someone we can be proud of having as a leader. It's weird when you're insulted and annoyed by the person running your community; but oh well. Do whatchu wanna do girl; I'm done here.

Can we please focus on zombie limits -_-'  stop derailing the thread
Agreed. SKG was now removed from the name since everyone in CG has the sandiest vagina in the world.

Yes; you've said that enough times for us to understand your dislike for our opinions.

Trolling is not something a CL should do.

Inject gives no fucks.

On-Topic:
Again can we get a hulk ratio limiter?  Banshee should be set to 1 and hulks to 1.5 or 2; agreed?

Zombie Master / Re: Limit on Banshees?

The consensus so far is set ratio to 1. Is there a ratio we can set for Hulks, which would be fine at 1.5 or 2?

Yeah except SKG doesn't exist anymore.
It's like ZPS's name.

And frankly it doesn't matter what you expect. If you don't like the server theirs tons more (about 4 XD) you can join.

No, it's not like ZPS's name. ZPS is the "CG Slaughterhouse" as ZM could be "CG Kill Factory"; the SKG is retarded albeit cute. Yes the name is a tribute to the old ZPS server but only because it's always been that way, ZM on the other hand has gone through some changes since then.

Also if that's your attitude on the server we should probably let someone else run it; maybe Death?

Don't shut the thread down because we're barely 3-4 posts "off-topic" even though you brought up the idea of the name change, tictac simply referenced how the old server worked. The name matters not IMO due to how many people actually look at it but it should be changed regardless.

Just FYI

Code: [Select]
// ZM Specific

//zm_bansheemax 2
// bansheemax is the ratio of banshees to players; I prefer setting this higher than the default (1) as it makes games a bit more manic - that and I generally have little problem avoiding them!
You can set a max PER PLAYER which is usually how it's done. As a side note. I see no issue with 15 depending on player count maybe. Even still 15 isn't a big issue. If all you spawn is banshees a well trained player will dominate the game.

It's been a long agreed rule that the less banshees the better I think; especially if the people who play the game most often agree.
