Zomboeing was STUPID RETARDED HUGE. That's probably why. We played for like 14 minutes, assuming this annoying little foriegn kid raged on map change, but then he finally connected and complained about how long the map took to download. We can't really come down on admins like that atm anyway, since I myself, have hardly been playing. We, as a community, haven't been playing ZPS, basically. Once I get control panel I'll start managing it more though, removing completely inactive people unless they're important or something and etc.

Soon as I have control panel, I can fuck with the server as I please, adding the plug-ins, making altercations as necessary and the such. Which would require constant hopping on the server to check and test things, thus forth inspiring me to play more.

It's kind of hard to read run on sentences when you're high.
Anyway, the thing where people leave the server after map change? I've seen that happen on biotec, shreddingfield, even on armory, coming from snuggles with like 10 players, and so on. It can happen anywhere. The end of a map is just a convinient place to leave the game, or rage if you rather not play the next map. Etc.
Sure, sometimes the map deters them from continuing, but where some players really like maps, other players really hate them. The server doesn't stay full after you change to any given map, usually, someone will leave, one to three on average I'd say. Five or more and it's a kind of a problem, but you'll get over it, and if it's like eight or more, it's time to RTV again.
Yeah, the adding people thing is really the key, it keeps it kind of personal and makes people you've added feel more inclined to come play again, rather than forgetting about the experience on our server completely and never returning.
Meh, if they rather play somewhere else than help start our server up, to hell with them! Not really, but rawr. It'd be nice if they tried to help us out..

TBH, holidays was just a good excuse. I was playing today and decided I'm going to try to get back into ZPS as much as my spare time allows..
I'm not coming back to play like I used to though. I don't think that'll really happen. I don't have the time to spend 10 hours a day on the ZPS server.. but like, i spent an hour or two there today... lol

Anyway.
So I just played with him this morning. I had no idea he was a regular or even applying for admin, I just saw him, he said nothing, and was just kind of there, like other players. I don't know him though so there's no reason for him to talk, I guess.
Does he have a mic?
This thread is getting rather lengthy. I'm keeping it open though because I'm not sure yet. Usually people are told to sign up on the forums first to become a part of the community then apply for admin, not apply as their entrance to the community.
Though my first post in SKG, was, my application, due to ProjectNinety's referral to do so. I just happened to stick around long enough to hop on the forums eventually, due to further nagging to do so by P90.

While it might "help" populate, having only 10 maps, it will also deter other players from our server. I remember having only 4 pages of maps in nominate and hearing "Jesus this server doesn't have any maps".
Nothing's really going to help the server till we have more people playing on it..

I was about to say, I thought zps town was only reachable via nomination.
Even if it's a good map the server is empty on, if the server is empty, nobody will join. It sits at the bottom of the list among all the other empty servers, and no one will go to it unless a couple of regulars decided they want to play some ZPS..
It's all up to the admins and faithful regulars to keep a player or three in the server at any given time. That's what our plan was at some point, maybe that was SKG? We were looking for admins in different time zones so we could always have someone on.. so when I was asleep for eight hours, someone across seas was keeping the server alive.
And wholegrain, didn't you say you were going to cut back on a lot of the maps for ZPS?

Yay?: We got a wii for christmas so I can play Zelda and Kirby and Donkey Kong and SSBB and all that other yummy shit. PS3's been more of a Blu-ray player lately, outside of guitar hero.
Boo: My computer sucks dick to game on nowadays and due to the new location of my computer+ I don't have a chair for my desk, alongside the fact I have two other people my age living with me to do stuff with now, it has become rather inconvenient to sit here and game all day every day. I can't really say I miss it, so idk if it's really a boo, but it is anyway. lol
