I need to fix a motherboard...

Ok, I recently installed a new pair of speakers into an HP probook 4510s, but while I was reassembling everything, the plug into the monitor must have gotten loose or a pin damaged because the screen looked like it was running in 12-bit.
Whole thing booted alright, just visible streaks on the screen AFTER BIOS.
Now, I tried going back, and in the process, thinking it the plug in was too loose, I removed it, and plugged it back in. put it together, turned it on. Same damn thing.
It mustve been in pretty tight the first time, so what I instead did, is I went back and tried to apply a more forceful touch to get it all the way in ( It wasnt flush with the slot), and with the help of a screw driver, got it wedged between, and I scrapped against a piece next to it.
I though to myself
"shit, its bent.
Oh well,
I'll bend it back."
As I did that, the solder snaps, and the damn thing went flying! Its about the size of the soldering wire I was gonna use on it (.015") but I need to get a new whatever that was to avoid risking damaging this.
Here's my question:
What is that piece called? It looks like a resistor or something...
and
Is it fixable?
If there is anyway to Macgyver this as well, do tell.
DISCLAIMER: the warranty was plenty void before it was opened, its been for about 4-5 years.

I've done a lot of soldering in my day but from the pictures I really can't tell, 900 pixels is not much
Sorry King

Um. Ouch.
Got a Mom and Pop (independent) computer shop around you, not afraid to solder? If so, try them. If not... well.

Just yell at it until it fixes itself.

Looks like a miniaturized resistor, if the lead came off it, theres not really any way to reattach unless theres some metal nub still sticking out of the resistor, which is unlikely it is probably sheared. Which unfortunately means the resistor would have to be replaced, and you'd have to find a place to ID it, and be able to get a replacement, and that's some tiny tiny accurate soldering done by a machine so no clue if you could even hand-solder that.
Sorry King, might be unrecoverable unless you find a local shop that could do it.
