Your GOTY of 2012?

What was your game of the year?
Mine would be Far Cry 3. It is completely open world, the characters are great, and just being able to take down enemies any way you see fit is just liberating. I swear I don't get how hard it is to understand that for some FPS games we don't want pop up targets and Micheal Bay plots, we want strong characters and an actual influence on the game.

It's not out yet but I'll have to say Pokemon X and Y; or Bioshock infinite for console/PC.
Maybe HL2:Ep3; if this year's the year.

In that case, it has to be Borderlands 2. I got so much out of it because I played with friends, but that game is one of the closest to perfection in a LOOONG time. The last game that came that close for me was either Skyrim or Bastion.

People are going to look at me strange, but screw it.
The Walking Dead game. This game won me over because of the story, the characters, and the decisions you make throughout the game. While it's a point-and-click game, the dialogue scenes got me interested in it giving you limited time to respond to some of the characters you will interact. Also, it has one of the saddest endings I've ever seen in a while.
Anyone got a problem with my opinion? No? Good.

Dishonored was amazing. It is the only game that satisfied me almost as much as the Half-Life Series.
Nuff said,

Hm, I'll have to think about it. Could have been Borderlands 2, but its not. The game is fun, but while they made numerous improvements over the original, the loot drop rates are shit (seriously, I got plenty of orange guns in the first one, but so much harder in this game!) and the raid bosses are such a fucking grind compared to crawmerax. terramorphous is ok but the rest? eff that shit.
Borderlands 2 is still awesome and a lot of fun, but not game of the year since they screwed some stuff up changing from the first game.

Stuck between Bl2 or Dishonored. Both were VERY good games.

I'd go with dishonored.
