Believe it or not I have a PC version set of Turtle Beaches that work really well. A lot of times you hear about Turtle Beaches excelling at Xbox, but try are great on PC also.

I have a logitech G35 that I got for christmas two years ago.

Also, a lot of people suggest just getting a good set of headphones (with no mic) and a cheap but nice separate mic (i.e. clip on or desk variant). You get better sound quality for usually less price.

This. Only problem im having though it seems is the mic, i dont know if its too far away from my mouth or the mic is just not working as well.
