Not really 100% sure what's happening on your 64 bit install. Screen shots and stuff would be awsome.

Sounds like reinstalling SC2 would be a good thing to do. It should come with that file.
It is happening to other games too though.
DLLs are generally shared, I'm sure many games use it. Perhaps something you uninstalled removed it.

Sounds like the video card is shot... since it's spinning at a faster rate than normal. Did you try removing the video card and attempting onboard video?
Probably doesn't have onboard.

I doubt your CPU can't handle 64 bit, if I had to take a stab in the dark I would say it was some sort of data corruption(maybe on your hard drive's end). Also Ubuntu is hardly a good way to test whats wrong with your machine, its like using cockroach infested bait to see whether or not you have a cockroach infestation.
Probably something like that whats your CPU? Also to whoever said x64 sucks, that's false.

I fucking loved this game though and would love to play it on decent resolutions.
Just FYI, take the word HD lightly. Look at the screen shots.
He prolly knows, but the HD ed also adds more res sizes so you can actually see xP

I remembered my favourite map (partly because I got to play with the guy who made it a bunch) which I never see anymore: zm_madness Do we have that anymore? Yes, It's a TK everyone for them selfs unless they want to work together map, but I always found it fun as hell. I'm sure you all think other wise, but I was wondering your opinion.

Sorry, not paying $20 for a game from 1999 that I already have.
With a small graphical enhancement. This doesn't make up for killing Ensemble Studios... Microsoft! -_-

Plus some of the people at the LAN party constantly say they delete it and we have problems with it occasionally. On Steam it would probably work perfectly, and Steam workshop as well.
Becoming a slave to the men I see. Paying $20 dollars for a 14 year old game. Hell, it should be public domain at this point.
