I fear little.

And Who says I survived?

What is my name again?

Comodo,  not commando, and the version I have is free, does its job, does NOT nag to buy an upgrade, and has a firewall.

And it does not like your coding, Inject, as it will not allow your ATMA program to run. And again, you claim it was good a long time ago, yet my sources show it competitive.  Your opinion.

As for an annual, or monthly purchase?  Agreed, it is a waste of money.  DO NOT BUY NORTON, ever. Unless you like being targeted, and want to format your system to get anti-spyware, software firewall, and other programs to run.  McAfee is bad, too.

The easiest route? Microsoft Essentials.  Why?  Not like Microsoft plays favorites with its own products, nope, no way.

And he took Essentials.   Voila.  End.

The basic idea of a death penalty, was to use the severe act of death by a nasty way, hanging or guillotine, for example, to prevent the next fellow from doing the same act.

The theory was, if we take this guy's life, the next guy will think twice.

Did it work?   Well? Did it?

Ok, here are the ones I would suggest:

Comodo Internet Security - Firewall and Antivirus in one.  It was free, not sure if it is anymore.  (FYI: Inject, it blocks your ATMA Admin assistant XD )
Microsoft Security Essential-  Free, simple, Good stuff, most likely because Microsoft bought the company, instead of creating the software in house...
Malwarebytes- Good stuff

Basically use this logic:  If the antivirus is free, and is offered from a company, that also has a paid version, the program usually is good to go.  The idea is to give you the basic protection, and do it well, so you buy the upgrade.   These programs typically do a pop up to advertise the paid version, when you update the virus definitions.  Some find annoying.  I simply click the red X in the top right corner, and "poof," no more ad, until I update again.

NEVER USE NORTON. EVER.  It was great, back in the 1990's, and has relied on its name brand since.  It is terrible to remove, insidious, I would say.  The only way to fully remove Norton from your system is format it. It is a fav target of virus writers, as it has several known weaknesses.

Look, recording is not allowed, unless permission is granted, or someone is trolling/ being racist/ being sexist/ breaking a MAJOR CG rule.  Inform a CL or HA you are recording and why.  Permission is far better than forgiveness.
Simply put, do not record others without their permission.  It is not nice, and can be misinterpreted, or even adjusted to look like something it is not.  Simply do not do it.

Welcome.  Enjoy the veal.

Do try our other servers, too.   The Saxton Hale mod may be interesting.

Hmm, yes, I had heard they were working on a new version.  If it is half as playable as the original, I will push for a server.  Sadly, looks to be pay to play, unlike the original.
So goes most mods...

I dont give a sh#$ about gun laws, all of 'em are mine. Im ready for the zombie apocalypse are you?  smug

Nor about gun safety.  Aim at things you want to blow up, and don't put your booger finger on the trigger, unless you want the gun to go "boom."

Nice rearsenaled 1891/30 round receiver Mosin-Nagant.   I suggest getting a M39 Finnish one, as they are one of the best Mosin-Nagants still available.

Ban Appeal / Re: Permaban appeal process
« on: 30 Jun, 2012 11:29 »
Doc., the Permaban in question is community wide. We already have server specific bans.  All HA have the ability to perm ban from their respective server, just look at the sourcebans.  TTT server has many a perm.

Yes, there is the possibility of personal vendetta. This is why I double check and question any response which seems to be one... However, at this point, the person in question has been banned by their severe actions (perma usually comes for hacking, severe trolling, severe racism, severe sexism or homophobia, legit threats to the community, such as denial of service attacks, and rage quitting the community.)

The reason it is intentionally hard is this: IMHO Perma is perma.  It is not a step taken lightly to perma from all servers, vent, forums, etc. So, it should not be a step taken lightly to remove.

In addition, having the HA give their vote and viewpoints actually allows for MORE input on the situation, which gives the power to more members of the community, rather than just the CL making the decision.

Imagine having to have the entire community attempting to vote on a perma removal.

In addition, you missed something:  Not all CL and HA are available at all times.  AND if there are more than 50%+1, any CL or HA can abstain from voting.  So, the odds you give are worst case.

Going back to the possible bias, the abstaining allows for the removal of the bias.

Got any suggestions?

My 2 cents: You sir, troll. A lot. I witnessed some.  (Yup, I DO pop up on servers, even games I hate to play, such as TTT. )
It really was not the hacking.  It was the attitude.  Did you hack? I would not be surprised.   Was there enough proof? Well, if a HA says there was hacking, there probably was hacking...
Did you troll, act abusive, and rage against admin? Yup.
Do I favor your return?  No.   CG has been fun, and quite nice, since the house cleaning you were a part of.
Should a person who knows a CL get preferential treatment?  Absolutely not.
WG, I am calling the vote.  It will be Saturday. All CL and HA active, or wanting to vote will have a pm to respond to.
Questions? Refer to the permaban unban process, listed in the sticky in this section of the forum.
