Clearing a ship of crew instead of destroying it ALWAYS gives more scrap, and sometimes other items. Boarding is the best way to get scrap fast BUT it is very risky and you have to be good at managing everything. NOT for beginners  Plus even with level 2 teleporter, auto drones are still a MAJOR pain in the ass. TL;DR: I love boarding and its well worth it but it is very risky and not for the unexperienced.

If it's *Vital*, I'll bother, yes. As far as I've seen, Mic's haven't been necessary as far as I'm aware; Games with their text communication, forums are all text, and TS has a chat lobby in each channel. I've still never seen purpose for it, but I'm open to getting one.
(I also am a fan of the whole anonymity of it, etc, no big deal though.)

Because it's like everyone's taking the easy way out by posting classics. That's like if I started a rock thread and posted a bunch of Rush, ACDC and Metallica, or something. I was hoping this thread would be more about artists others don't know about; newer stuff and music sharing. Unfortunately because of the rules of this forum, you can't really post.. Most hiphop. Because of the N word, and stuff. Oh well.

For people complaining about the difficulty: try playing it on easy at first to learn good strategies, combinations of weapons/subsystems, which events to take a risk on (protip: mutant alien spiders has a very high chance of failure!), and what equipment you need to take on the boss.
I have never beat it on normal, but made it to the end once or twice. Easy mode I've beaten the boss about 1/2 to 1/3 the times I've played.
There are also some items so good you should REALLY consider selling things to get them. In the first few sectors for example, a scrap recovery arm can make a HUGE difference in how well your game goes, with more scrap you can do almost anything. The Weapon Pre-igniter is the most insanely good item, as you can sometimes kill enemies before they can even fire their first shot. And as Peppy always says, "Use bombs missles wisely!"
Luck is always involved in roguelikes, but once you know how things tend to go, you can reliably make it to the final sector at least. For example, I thought having both defense drones AND cloaking were necessary to beat all forms of the final boss, but one time I managed to beat him with only level 1 cloaking and no drones.
Once you beat it a few times on easy, try normal and be shocked at how little scrap you get.

It means I'm not going to love every single human on the planet. The reason there have always been a number of CLs and not just one or two is to have multiple viewpoints come together. I know for a fact each CL dislikes certain people, but working TOGETHER have always been pretty fair I think, if we get something like 5 CLs total, how would one persons opinions override that many others? It's all about consensus. I haven't always seen eye-to-eye with Inject, so this may never even happen I fail to see how sassing one person (which I'm sure most people have done before) means I'm the worst guy ever. People have the right to their opinion I'm not gonna tell you guys you have to vote for me, I'm just gonna let it roll like it is, if I get it great, if not, whatever I keep doing what I'm doing, and focus on what good I can do. Right now all I want is for there to be more CLs so things can start getting done, because Inject has his hands way more than full right now, especially with his IRL obligations with helping his mom and whatnot, so things are going to go hella slow until he decides on who else is gonna help.
