All they taught us was how to do some weird game on the computers. Kids should be like answering their teachers questions via laptop or something. That would be awesome. Oh, or they get rid of schools altogether and do it all online.

If you read either of my previous posts you would see that I was referring to the accidental injuries (physical or mental) and deaths inflicted by intoxicated individuals on friends, bystanders, etc. Feel free to actually address my point any time you'd like.

Your opposition to murder and theft demonstrates that you do have a rough idea of how life should be lived; you simply seek to maximize the freedom of morons to live their lives in whatever moronic fashion appeals to them. You seem to be a bit of a nihilist, which makes it interesting to me that you treat certain controversial actions (e.g., murder, theft) as vile enough to be illegal while still maintaining that the state should have no influence over whether or not we pursue other controversial actions (essentially: wasting your life on stoning, drinking, jerking off, whatever, or throwing away the world itself by polluting, hunting, and so on). You must have an awfully jumbled set of values if you think that the universe is meaningless, and therefore take on a relativist philosophy promoting libertarianism, but also that human life and freedom are sacred (and so the universe is not meaningless), and therefore recognize that those values must be protected. Either your set of values is internally inconsistent or you don't want to admit that you do believe in right and wrong, as that would render your disinterest in disclosing right and wrong lazy and hypocritical.

You're starting to sound a little arrogant, Crypto. <.<

So are you saying people who do drugs are morons? Lot's of people can keep their lives together and smoke pot, among other things. Drugs like Heroine and Cocaine though, that needs to be like, destroyed. My friend started doing meth and he got kicked out of his house, and dropped out of college. Hmm.

He just wants to legalize drugs and prostitution, two things that are already happening, regardless of it being legal or not. When alcohol is still legal, why the hell not?

I think they should start teaching kids how to type when their like in 2nd grade. Have them doing keyboarding classes, teaching them the letters on the keyboard, while they learn cursive and shit. Lot's of kids would probably being able to access the computer at such an early age, and it would get them familiarized with computers. In this day and age, all of those kids would have one later on anyway. It's just assumed that everyone has a computer nowadays. Might as well teach kids how to use them early on right? They could be learning C++ in fifth grade if they wanted. They could have Java, and more advanced shit mastered by the time they're a freshman in high school.

Debate Forum / Re: Science and Morality
« on: October 23, 2010, 01:58:46 PM »
Well, morals are simply an idea. A heavily culturally influenced one. Example, men in other countries are allowed to marry as many girls as they like, from like, age 10 and up. Now, we here in america, think that is immoral, to be sleeping with so many people at the same time, much less marry so many, it defies our ideas of marriage.

In america, laws pretty much define morals, they do in many other countries too, I believe. But the morals in our laws, or whatever, is a result of religious rules, such as the ten commandments.

I myself, don't have many morals. I don't know why, I don't care. Maybe that's why.

It's opinion also. I don't believe for a second that anyone has the same exact set of morals, or idea of what morals should be.  Do you get what I'm saying?

Oh god. I hate all discussions about morals. God forbid we give a standard for designing them.

Is it as vast and unable to hold my attention like Fallout 3 was?

Don't get me wrong, I loved the game, I was just unable to get any further past like 15% of the game.

The rap artist Wiz Khalifa samples Schalas theme from Chrono trigger in his song Never Been.

On a slightly more relevant note.

Inject, I agree with your first post.

Yet. Debates never result in answers. They result in rage, and hatred towards other people. I suppose someone can provide a better argument, but it's all opinion. And- OHSHIT TIMMYS HOME. YEAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
