Have an external website, and have them link thru the site, so we press a button here, start recording, it gets done on another sites bandwidth, or whatever, IT SOUNDS POSSIBLISH, anyway yep. The main point being we can do it here, and have it be simple. and quick. idunno.

Youtube takes forever to upload, It's not worth my time, I wouldn't use youtube.
Not to mention it would be 100% easier to have it on here, have it be quick and easy. The whole process of going through another site just makes the idea pointless, hence why I nor no-one else does it.

Sure we could just post youtube videos but not everybody would want to make responses from youtube, and most people don't have webcams either I'm sure. So the ability to post an accompanying audio recording, or whatever would be neat. I think.
I'm asking if there's such thing as a forum specific thingy ma jig, kind of like the record audio option on MSN, to send (short 20 second, or long 15 minute) audio clips in stead of typing things. The idea of uploading hundreds of CG specific videos to youtube doesn't appeal to me, and you have a limit on how long they could be, and all these other things. Just a small feature to record audio/video, and the choice to listen to it or not when reading a post. Don't expect to happen, just curious on the idea, I guess.

I thought it would be interesting to have a video/audio response option for reply posts. I don't know how well received that would be here, but since most of us already talk to each other via mic, we should have the ability to post audible responses, and or videos. The only problem being we'd have to watch/listen to people sometimes instead of reading what they say, which might be annoying to some.
How it could help?
Well, people tend to get angrier and more upset on a forum, due to the lack of emotion and all that good stuff that comes with vocals and visuals. So people sometimes assume things incorrectly and just, things get out of hand, sarcasm is harder, and misinterpretations happen all too much. Also, some people speak, better than they type.
I can see it being impractical but practical too, so idunno. I doubt many would use it, but I can see it being fun, and I would use it if we got something like that added to the forum. I'm sure it'd make my responses more interesting.. maybe. That way if you just hate what I'm saying you can make fun of my hair, or like, my face.

Yeah, Jorgen, I was talking about Finnie with the language barrier to begin with, not you. I can usually understand what you say flawlessly, given I might have to re-read once or twice. Speech impediments are irrelevant since I'm strictly referring to forum discussion/text. Foreign people post in English as much as they understand it, sometimes not using words correctly, making things confusing, if they do it too much. All I really ask for from them(and everyone really) is to double check your posts before you hit Post. You have the gift of time, on a forum, and have more time to think + edit your post. You can't do that in vent or on a server, usually you say what comes to mind, where on a forum you get to make sure it's a worthwhile post, etc. Which is probably why I sound like a pretentious asshole half the time. I'm not saying it should be a rule, but if it's common for you to make mistakes, for whatever reason, proofread a little here and there. I understand not everyone will have Author level english/writing skills, some people weren't exposed to the right amount of reading, or weren't on the computer at a young age as I was, took a keyboarding class, writes a lot, etc. Whatever. There are different factors in everyone's life that build up certain skills, some people are "intelligent/wise" but appear as if they were mentally handicapped sometimes. (Inject) It works the other way around too, sometimes. Anyway, I don't believe having fluent english skills means your intelligent or anything like that, I just prefer being able to fully understand things, because I can't ask what you mean, any time an errors made. It's really not THAT big of a deal, this whole discussion just got blown a little out of proportion, I think. Kids= Less mature by nature.... Tend to annoy mass player bases more then other people. The admin has to keep the mass player base happy or the server fails. So yeah we should mute them if annoying but not jujst because there a kid. I say only mute if a mass player base desires it. Completely agreeable. That should be the standard for all players. The only thing I DESPISE, is the SECOND a kid starts talking, everyone begs for a mute. What the fuck is that? Half the time the kid rarely speaks, or there's almost nothing wrong with his voice and every time he speaks people ridicule him and scream at him to shut up. If I saw that shit, I would mute the bullies being assholes, and maybe the kid too. Only problem with that, is sometimes muting people results in an instant disconnect, which I try to avoid causing at all costs, unless completely necessary. Though if the entire server was begging for a mute, even if the kid wasn't doing anything wrong at all, or against the rules, I would probably mute him, then ask the server what the fuck their problem is, and probably end up having a similar debate. Sometimes the kids are dedicated players, and things like that can shy them away forever. Sure you guys probably don't care, but I just think you'd be more focused on keeping the assholes and the trolls out, and I'd say like.. 7 times out of ten, those types are the ones to start shit with kids. Anyway, feel free to move this to the debate section. I really just wanna talk about minecraft now, we could lock this / move this, since this is about the pre-release technically. I have my thread about the release open, we could just continue 1.8 discussion there?

That's lame.. Perhaps they're still working on NPCs, but I read something on the minecraft wiki that said the villages were to contain NPCs, and they didn't know whether they'd be hostile, or neutral and so on.. I bought a new 30 slot server just for it

Since the update came out this morning, I've been exploring the world non stop. So, they've introduced/modified/madeifiedified the whole biome system, which I've noticed randomly generates as you travel... sometimes putting deserts right next to oceans and forests.. I know there's swamp, forest, rainforest, dessert, plains, mountain, tundra, and so on.. I've also noticed massive fucking oceans. Like seriously massive oceans that take like 6-10 minutes to reach the other side of, Idunno if that was there before or not. I'm wondering if "ocean" is a biome itself. It's insane how much shit there was under water, like whole ravines and mountains I could see but can't get to. I'm pretty sure I saw like 2x2 collumns under water too, almost reaching the surface from the deepest parts, which really confused me.. Is there ore down there? Why would the game generate so much inaccessible shit, and have it go on for so long? ANYWAY. Here's a picture of the first ravine I saw. No water, with mobs at the bottom. I've found entire canyons like this underground too, I just kept digging and eventually I picked a hole in the wall, and there was light inside. I take out two more blocks and I step into this dimly lit cavern that goes on seemingly forever. There was coal and iron all over the walls, and when I went to the bottom there was obsidian, redstone and that blue shit AZREALLUPINIS, scattered near the bottom. It blew my mind. Anyone experience a NPC village yet? I sailed on my boat for an hour across the ocean looking for one, and ran all over the place, nothing yet. I haven't found the mineshafts yet either, just massive ammounts of cavities under ground. GOD I LOVE THIS GAME. WHEN WE GETTIN A SRVR?

- Your grammar isn't as good as you think it is then.. If you want me to go through every single one of your posts and highlight every grammatical error, I'll be glad to. Not really, that would be miserable.. You asked what I meant on the language barrier thing, and I'm simply trying to explain how it's a problem. Your wrong to assume it bothers me, it doesn't. I've been talking to you, (kinda?) for years. Same with other friends, and online stalkers (Lili) who I talk to regularly. I guess I offended you, if I did, then I'm sorry. I'm not trying to fight you, just understand more, as opposed to pretending I don't.
- What the fuck do crows have to do with anything?
- I don't WANT to understand foreigners? I was pretty sure it was their poor understanding of the English language that just makes them hard to understand. I'm fine with trying to understand. Sometimes people misuse words, and have to try a different word a few times before I get it, blah blah. The whole "You just choose not to understand it and give the excuse of- made me mad. That was dumb. Who chooses not to understand? I've never even fathomed something like that. Maybe pretending not to understand, but that's even more.. silly..
- Stop using the term narrow minded. It's so vague and over used. Nobody's narrow minded. It's essentially the same thing as calling someone stupid, because you aren't permanently dumb(unless you've destroyed half your brain or whatever), you do some things that other people and sometimes yourself, perceive as dumb. While to another person you could be the smartest person on the planet for saying/doing whatever you said/did. People have opinions and try to express them. Some don't like other opinions as they conflict with their own. It's impossible to try to be fine with every opinion and/or be on every side of the fence. I wasn't assuming he was narrow minded, at all, and there was no sarcasm. You drew that on your own, perhaps you're narrow minded? Hrrrrng. Be more wide minded. It's not like I think I'm RIGHT, I'm just trying to express how I feel on the topic of hating kids because they sound different/weird/annoying. Just as other people have the abilities to be.
- Everything is limited to perception in this debate? Perhaps you meant it's all about / based on perception? That just rounds back around to the opinion thing, since what you perceive = what you think = your opinion. Every debate is subjected to opinion.
- Claiming ignorance? Who claims ignorance? To shell out a debater? Elaborate if you have time plx. Or were you talking about the part where you said you can't think straight?

Another thing I wonder is how do language barriers seperate you and me, from what I have seen from American and English people I seem to be better both grammatically and verbally than many of them, which is not a language barrier (from another thing not from this topic).
Also sorry for the fact that some sentences are very long running and hardly cut up, I am too tired to do anything about that so sorry.
Thanks for calling me and Finnie narrow minded, I don't recall using that phrase or assuming that. The language barrier doesn't exactly separate us, it just makes things harder to understand, sometimes things don't make sense if I don't read it four or five times, rearrange it a little in my head and whatnot. Sometimes you guys use a few extra adjectives, miss a few colons, miss words completely, or misuse words, or just say things I don't really get what you mean, and give up on interpreting sentences entirely. I'm not going to call you guys out for shit like that, I can figure it out on my own usually, and I now understand it's just because it's not your first language. My friend was making fun of something some guy said on facebook, and was making fun of his terrible english, calling him an idiot and all this shit, and I was like *checks nationality* ... He's from Kenya, Ayla. She was like OHH THAT EXPLAINS IT. ANYWAY. I just think it's ridiculous kids are treated like a minority. If you're annoyed so much by how people sound, and you think them being annoying justifies any kind of muting, or whatever, why doesn't annoying accents count too? Can I hate you because you talk in a "foriegn" low toned voice, and think everything you say is retarded? It is possible, I've done it before. Is it right? Not at all. I've realized that. EVERY HUMAN, knows something you don't, and doesn't know some things you do, regardless of age. Everyone has potential to tell you some things you didn't know, it's just a matter of who you choose to actually listen to. Everyone's lived a different life and their experiences make them who they are, and teach them different things. Usually people only bother "listening" to people with similar beliefs, and shun people who believe other things, deeming them unintelligent or ignorant. God it's really hard trying to cram my ideals on humanity into this post. I think I'll give up. Sometimes muting a loud whiny kid is completely necessary, sometimes muting a guy screaming in spanish is necessary. Sometimes muting the asshole from Boston who's calling everyone an idiot is necessary. It's all subjective. I'll comment on like the only thing I fully understood from the last post. Point of the matter most kids don't say usefull things and are on the top of that anoying as shit, why should I just bend down and accept that they do so? Actually, point of the matter is most people on the internet don't say useful things, and sometimes are annoying as shit. Not just kids. HUMAN BEINGS, say dumb things, some of them say smart things. Whether it's useful or smart is the decision of all who are listening. If you think all kids are just stupid, and they're all useless, it'd be hard to ever learn anything from a child.
