So, I don't know if you guys have seen Sethbling's videos, nor his newer videos, but here's a quick background:

> Sethbling makes things using Redstone, building, and MCEdit.
> Sethbling makes games.
> Sethbling recently made "The Building Game."

http://sethbling.com/thebuildinggame

We need 7 people to do this. Anyone in?

EDIT: This will be a community game run on a server I'll be running on a separate computer from the one I use to record/play on.

My brother's getting both (supposedly), but I'd only get one if I get back into casual gaming. Right now, the most "casual" I get is mobile games. :P Since switching to PC, I much prefer it.

How long was Death's exactly?

Like exactly?

I must win for no reason other than to win.

Pretty cool but the sprite looks a bit odd without a shadow or something where the ground would be under him

Shadows are your only problem, in my opinion. It seems strange that the effects would be coming out of the "ground" and there are not shadows for either the effects or the sprite.

I think I'll take part in this. I got a great idea, wrote it down, never went to write it, script it, or anything.

I've actually managed to get a group going for this. I'm at three teachers and six students - including me - which is actually pretty good, assuming everyone sticks around/does their part.

Sorry, Gopib, but unless you prove yourself to the community, the TTT community especially, I don't think you're going to get a lot of acceptance. After seeing your trolling and to what extent it goes to, you're going to have to actually do something to show that you're mature enough to be welcome on the TTT server again, rather just saying (or in this case, getting someone else to say) that you have changed. Believing every perma-banned person using the phrase "I've changed" will get us no where. You're not permabanned from the forums or most CG servers, so prove yourself on these places, and perhaps we'll consider it.

It was a mandatory assignment for me last year. "Write 2-3,000 words a day" was the constant homework for English class. I hated every bit of it....

Jesus christ, I'd hate that. As someone who likes it, I can't imagine having to do it as part of my homework.

Here's an announcement I'm making on Monday for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), which takes place in November. Because its on my mind, and I only have 2 other people and a teacher in the group with me so I'm looking for inspiration, I'm wondering if anyone else would do this if they had the time or have done it in the past, or perhaps are doing it this year?

Announcement (about a page long):
Spoiler for Hidden:
Hello everyone; my name is Justin, I’m a senior, and I’ve been a writer for quite a long time now, and last year discovered an event called “NaNoWriMo;”  short for “National Novel Writing Month, NaNoWriMo takes place in November, and has the main goal of writing 50,000 words in November. For writers that don’t have drive, it is used in order to push yourself to make that rough draft happen. Notice I said rough draft: you’re just putting words on paper as fast as your brain comes up with them; slight grammar, spelling, or other errors are fine, you don’t have to be the next Shakespeare to participate. The problem is, unless you start to neglect your schoolwork, 50,000 words is tough to come by. Therefore, Mr. Moore and I are going to be writing a group novel this year. Not only is this a great way to get your creative juices flowing, but also a great chance to write more quickly, without restrictions. One chapter - that is, 2-5 pages, or more if you have the time - within 48 hours. After your 48 hours are up, you’d send it off to the next person in line, who’d right the next chapter, and so on. This way, you have to concentrate on two or three pages within two days rather than fifty or a hundred thousand words in 30 days. I participated last year, and got 8382 words total in my first attempt at a Science Fiction novel, so if you want to read that for inspiration, email me at <my school email>. Can any writers or creative minds who want to participate on the group novel please meet me in the rotunda after school meeting? Thanks, and don’t forget to keep writing if you like to write.

Wow some idjit disliked it xD.

Also about the font.. I don't see why it's such a big deal, even if it is bad or whatever I fail to see how it's important... Unless of course you like staring at the same text for 90 minutes which I find odd, wouldn't you want to be doing something else while listening to a podcast? Whatever though people do strange things I guess.

@edit basically what I mean is.. It's like listening to the radio, why does it matter what it looks like while you listen to it.. Sure it could be better looking but complaining about how horrible and terrible it looks doesn't make sense to me since it's something you're listening to.. =\

^^^^ I don't think your going to stare at the logo for an hour and a half XD

The problem with podcasts on YouTube, in my opinion, is that YouTube is for watching, and having a podcast on YouTube with a logo or text or something isn't in the best interest of the person watching it. Sure, normal podcasts are meant to be listened to while doing other things, like music, but having it on YouTube means that some people might not like the placeholder text.

I'm still of the opinion that gameplay or something underneath would make it more interesting, but I'm fine with leaving it with a design/logo underneath.

Don't have time to watch it tonight, and might not watch it because I heard it live and don't want to hear me rant stupidity, but HERE'S A POST TO SHOW THAT I CARE AND YOU PEOPLE SHOULD WATCH IT. I'd appreciate any feedback you guys might have.
 discofrog

Feedback piece #1 - maybe a facecam, gameplay footage (something that isn't too distracting), or something other than just text underneath? I could edit that together with public domain images if you guys like the idea of something related to the podcast rather than webcam feeds or raw gameplay footage.
