Now kiss. (Side note: I've been working with SMF for upwards of 12 whole months and have pretty decent PHP/database knowledge. I'd love to help out with forum backend shenanagins if you ever need <3)
See the way the "Donations" and "Log out" buttons spill over the navbar towards the left of the image? Is there a way we can fix that by grouping some of the buttons together? It's a pain in the ass, especially when browsing on mobile and everything spills over. If we could maybe regroup things in ways as follows, or others:
Rename "Forum" to "Boards" and group it with "Shop" and "Arcade" under a folder named "Forum"
Possibly stick "Calendar" and "Bans" under that header as well
Honestly I'd just like a way to use the forum without the many, many header links spilling over and ruining my day.
BEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEP THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM NORAD'S MAP SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM, THIS IS NOT A TEST. AT 8:32 PM EST, NORAD'S MAP SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM DETECTED A MAP BEING RESTORED FROM A BACKUP ON RALPHORAMA'S TEKKIT SERVER. THIS MAP RESTORATION APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN INITIATED DUE TO A MALFORMED EMC FARM CREATING THOUSANDS OF ENTITIES IN A LOCAL VICINITY, RENDERING THE GAME UNPLAYABLE FOR ALL WHO PASSED WITHIN 800 BLOCKS. THIS ACTION HAS RESTORED THE MAP TO A PREVIOUS VERSON SIMILAR TO THE ONE OBSERVED AROUND MIDNIGHT TODAY. THIS MAP RESTORATION SHOULD ONLY AFFECT THOSE WHO HAVE WORKED ON THE SERVER LATER THAN 0024 HOURS ON DECEMBER 17, 2013. ALTHOUGH THIS MAP RESET WAS FOR THE BETTER OF THE SERVER, THOSE INCONVENIENCED ARE ADVISED TO RECOUP THEIR DAMAGES BY SENDING ANGRY MESSAGES TO http://www.conjointgaming.com/forum/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=282 THIS HAS BEEN AN EMERGENCY BROADCAST FROM NORAD'S MAP SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM BEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEP
Spoiler for layman's terms:
I had to reset the map because SOMEBODY (Dante) decided to make an EMC farm with inadequate overflow protection. If you did work on this server after midnight today, it's probably gone. Once again, direct all hate to Dante.
Also if your using EE, you might as well not play. You'll get bored within a week because you have everything so fast.
Destruction catalyst (assuming its that thing that eats coal to make 3x3 tunnels) isn't banned, just the use of nova catalyst and other tnt-likes cause they lag the server. On EE, I personally love it cause it makes it easy to build huge projects, which I'd be working on if it wasn't for all the hectic crap in my life.
I know I said otherwise but I want a Dogeject shirt
I can totally make that happen, if otter's ok with me putting his design on the shop. Also, we still need designs for a CG shirt drive, so PM those to me plz <3 (I'm working on one of my own as well)
I don't know why it's so hard to follow the rules guys. It says don't go on the roof so don't go on the fucking roof. Just because there is a weapon spawn up there doesn't mean it's suddenly not against the rules.
Just pointing out that this is kind of misleading. If the map ever gets re-armed, I'd suggest taking it out. (or letting people go on the rooves because it's fun )
I was playing ttt_christmastown just recently, and some questions on 'glitching the map' arose. See, you can get on top of some of the buildings via crowbaring one of the garage doors at the gas station and riding it up, and as far as I can tell, it's defined in the rules as a specific map glitch. The issue arises, however, when we take a look at how the map is armed (where weapons spawn).
Fig. 1
Fig. 2
See, the map is re-armed in such a way that a sniper rifle spawns on the roof of one of the buildings it's against the rules to go on top of. I don't know if this is a relic of a previous person re-arming it, or if something got messed up while it was being re-armed, but it's been causing minor strife between players and admins. It basically makes one assume that it's ok to go on top of these buildings because why would there be guns spawning somewhere we weren't allowed to go? If we could get this sorted out, it would be great!
So since there's pretty positive feedback on the shirts, I say we try a campaign. How about people PM me designs for a CG shirt, and I'll put up a poll with them to decide which to ship. Afterwards, I'll set up a preorder form and see how many people actually want one. We'll aim for at least 20 pre-orders, because with that shirts should be $15ish each after shipping and taxes, and I could send them out to everyone who ordered one.
I'm thinking Google Docs and Paypal, so we could get addresses privately and in an organized fashion.
