Point is this: It is negatively impacting game play. It is negatively impacting the admin, in a manner where they are not having fun, and wish to no longer admin.

It is a game that REQUIRES admin.  So, you going around targeting them, and attacking them, well, enjoy the rdm fests which will occur, cause the admin are not having fun, so are playing as little as possible.

I think it is really stupid to annoy admin.  Considering they can ban you.  Its asking for it.

Go to microsoft's site, and search a fix for it.  See if there is. Or go to their forums for suggestions?

I thought Vincent lost his position for not being around...

LUA is limited, but can be a jumping point to other coding. So, jump.

And my vote is "boobies."

Good job guys, we are now down one admin due to this. Keep at it, and Cadaver will be showing up on the TTT server, reacting negatively.

Admin Time Away Forum / Re: Nexus Time Away
« on: 13 Mar, 2013 18:29 »
Apparently, I did not make myself clear.  If they are continuously knifing you, merely because you are an admin, get me proof.

They are about to get Cadaver to join the server, and start getting all disappointed on them.  Trust me, they will not like it.

To those annoying our admin, do not make me join a game I hate.  My tolerance level will be much lower, to your detriment.

When you act like children, you get treated as such. Please do not be childish.

Sorry,  Nexus.  It should blow over fast.  If it does not, I will make it blow over fast...

Solved Ban Appeals / Re: Perma Ban Appeal
« on: 13 Mar, 2013 17:00 »
As for this fellow, it seems he was perm'd a long time ago, and the switching from source to the new system allowed him to be back on, incorrectly.

Your version of "give them enough rope" and mine seem to differ.
My version of "give them enough rope" ENABLES permabans, and makes it so the ban is undeniable by the one banned. It also makes the admin appear fair and balanced by those seeing the ban... (This coming from the CL that has many of the standing community wide permabans. None of my personal permabans have been lifted. The only ones lifted were directly related to WG...)

Snak is a different topic, and irrelevant to this situation.

IMHO: The guy goes bye-bye.  He does not show the change required for a permaban to be removed.  So, I support Cortez in his decision he stays banned.  Cortez, please PM me if you believe this person does not deserve access to any other CG server, including Forums.

Permaban removal  DENIED.

Locking this topic, Cortez has the authority to re-open.

Solved Ban Appeals / Re: Perma Ban Appeal
« on: 13 Mar, 2013 01:51 »
Those people were unbanned because of WG leaving, Snak was a completely different reason and subject. I don't get why he would be thrown into that melting pot.

Incorrect.  Snak was unbanned in the "Great Unbanning." I know cause I was in on the decision process. You do not know, cause you were not a CL, nor requested by CL to review the permabans to remove, as I was.   Due to WG being a tool, and  WG's requesting the rebanning Snak, he was given a second chance... Yes, the thread is out there, and did get discussed, but the primary reason was the Unbanning, not the thread...

So, the inconsistency you perceive, did not exist...

Trust me, the Unbanning, all of the bans removed, were discussed, with CL, the former CL (me,) and several HA, and several Vets.  Several were suggested by HA, CL, Vets, Admin, and even regulars of CG.
If you notice, several of the bans remained.  (Ellie, San445, Exultion, etc.)  They were not unbanned, due to the fact WG had nothing remotely to do with their bans.

Hmm. Then definitely check the seagate tools, and swap out the power cable and the sata cable on the hard drive.

Admin Time Away Forum / Re: Doctah

Enjoy the Break of Spring. Enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle that is TTT.  Enjoy time to smell the flowers.  Enjoy time to shake off the weary feeling of winter, and enjoy the warmth of Spring.  Enjoy the break from your (mostly useless) education, and frolic with those whom attract you.

And on, and on.

Targeting another player has always been against the rules, does not matter what CG server you are on.
It is considered trolling, or minging.

So, all in all, a bad idea?  Probably.  Could there be repercussions for, effectively, disrespecting Admins? Yup.

This is how I see it: These guys go after an admin, who is trying to do their job on the server. They knife him round after round.  Does the victim get upset? Probably.  Does it interfere with his attempting to admin? Most likely.  Admin doles out bans for Admin disrespect.   You complain.  Cortez steps in, sees what has happened, and would probably not be happy with you.  You probably would complain further.  Cadaver steps in, sees what has happened, and probably extends your ban...

So, seeing how I see it, do you think this is really a good idea?

Ok,

Did you do a fresh reinstall of windows?  If not, and merely put a backup, or an image of the previous OS install, there is the issue.

Why? Even though you may have removed the old hard drive, the system is still trying to write to the WD, and is seeing Seagate.  Seagate and WD actually use different drivers, even though they are the "universal drivers" for Windoze.

In addition, download on a different computer "Seatools for Windows," or other Seagate utilities, from the Seagate website, designed to test the hard drive for errors.  It could be a rare bad drive.
