Also, I suppose I'll speak on behalf of Cadaver and say let's keep our personal experiences out of this more.
Oh, and as a former Risk Manager from a Transportation Company, who had to deal with Hiring and Firing... a few things you all need to be aware of:
1.
Anyone who has a drug charge of any kind on their records, in general, do not get hired for jobs... 2.
Anyone attempting to get into College needs to realize all internet social forums, such as here, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, etc., are looked at by College Recruiters... Any issues considered "bad," such as drug use, can and will be, counted against you when you apply... And can get you "un"-accepted...3.
Anyone attempting to get a job, or career, the Human Resources Departments use your internet social forums for hiring decisions... and actively hire internet specialists to review internet information, and link said info to the applicant... Remember #2, above? Colleges are now starting to do this, too...
4.
The internet is not as anonymous as you think.5.
The internet has a very long memory...In addition:
Do not toke and drive: DWI (Driving While Influenced) under the law, is just as bad as DUI, and stays on your record permanently... This can and will prevent your future employment. I know, as I was one who researched people's MVR (Motor Vehicle Records) and did not hire anyone with a DWI or DUI.)
So, again, do not share personal experiences...Oh, and yes, Human Resources was doing this with Minimum Wage level employment and higher...
