Other comments: I believe he was hamming it up for his YouTube channel as well. At any rate, he was pretty annoying on mic. I walked into a building and was promptly shot by him, the 4th in his murderous rampage against the innocents (as seen in Fig. 1), despite saying several times "don't shoot me, why are you shooting me." He left the building, commented "Ignore that guys, lots of Ts in there!" Past this I believe he was stabbed, the rest is history.
See the way the "Donations" and "Log out" buttons spill over the navbar towards the left of the image? Is there a way we can fix that by grouping some of the buttons together? It's a pain in the ass, especially when browsing on mobile and everything spills over. If we could maybe regroup things in ways as follows, or others:
Rename "Forum" to "Boards" and group it with "Shop" and "Arcade" under a folder named "Forum"
Possibly stick "Calendar" and "Bans" under that header as well
Honestly I'd just like a way to use the forum without the many, many header links spilling over and ruining my day.

I had to reset the map because SOMEBODY (Dante) decided to make an EMC farm with inadequate overflow protection. If you did work on this server after midnight today, it's probably gone. Once again, direct all hate to Dante.
I was playing ttt_christmastown just recently, and some questions on 'glitching the map' arose. See, you can get on top of some of the buildings via crowbaring one of the garage doors at the gas station and riding it up, and as far as I can tell, it's defined in the rules as a specific map glitch. The issue arises, however, when we take a look at how the map is armed (where weapons spawn).

See, the map is re-armed in such a way that a sniper rifle spawns on the roof of one of the buildings it's against the rules to go on top of. I don't know if this is a relic of a previous person re-arming it, or if something got messed up while it was being re-armed, but it's been causing minor strife between players and admins. It basically makes one assume that it's ok to go on top of these buildings because why would there be guns spawning somewhere we weren't allowed to go? If we could get this sorted out, it would be great!
Hey everyone, I saw and commented on this in the most recent news post, but I thought I'd make a thread here as well to get more opinions on the subject.
Basically, according to the meeting notes, there was some discussion on selling Conjoint-related shirts. Since I've had experience with selling community-related merch before, I thought I'd elaborate on the idea and make some suggestions. Here's what I said in the other thread:
I see the idea of T-Shirts were discussed, and I'd be happy to help out setting up a shirt shop for Conjoint. I've done something similar for the last gaming community I was part of, we used Spreadshirt and recruited designs from our art board. Shirts were generally $20, making about $3-$5 each and had designs on them relating to community in-jokes and logos. If we did the design recruiting thing I'd recommend accepting designs in a dedicated board, and figuring out a way to pay the artist ~ 50% of the profits from the shirts a month.
So I'm asking you guys: What do you think of the prospect of a CG merch setup? I'd be happy to get everything working and include all the CLs and whatever in running it.

â– Why Tekkit Classic kicks copious amounts of ass:
First and foremost: No Gregtech
I know right? It's actually easy to get places and make stuff with this modpack. You can be productive, and not have to craft your way around steaming mounts of auxiliary items and rare stones to make, say, a solar panel. Instead of taking roughly two point five billion years to work your way up to an industrial blast furnace, all you need is a couple circuits, glass, and some coal dust. You don't even need diamonds to make a macerator!
So you may be saying, "Ralph, I like where you're going with this 'No Gregtech' thing. Is there anything else you can tell me that would make me an even happier person?

There is.
As much as no Gregtech makes Tekkit Classic look like a diamond in the rough, there's something even better: Equivalent Exchange 2. Not 3, 2. This is the version of EE that lets you flat out dupe items, not the weak-ass EE3 that nerfed everything. Take a look at the Tekkit Classic wiki page on the Energy Condenser:

The Energy Condenser converts items with EMC values into other items with EMC values. The top-left slot is where the item to be duplicated is placed. Then, any item put in its other 91 Inventory slots will be converted into the the target item, should there be enough EMC. Condensers can also use EMC created from adjacent Antimatter Relays and Energy Collectors.
This basically means any not-Buildcraft or Industiralcraft item can be converted into a different item. After you get your first energy condenser, you basically have free reign to convert all your cobblestone into stone using no fuel, and at no loss. That's right, sweetcheeks. You can convert cobblestone to stone at a 1:1 ratio at no cost.
Now suppose the thought of cobble => stone excites you. You can do this with every raw material in the game. Not always at a 1:1 ratio, but free stuff, nonetheless.
On top of all this juicy goodness, you have standard versions of almost every mod in FTB/Tekkit. Buildcraft, Industrialcraft, Computercraft (my personal favorite), Redpower, and lots more.

Slow down, cowboy. First you're gonna have to apply for a slot in the whitelist over at this thread. To be whitelisted you gotta have 20 posts on the forums and also have an account that's in good standing on MCbans. Tekkit Classic's downside is that all its awesomeness manifests in the fact that it's easy to greif, with nukes, Nova Catalysts, and Tesla coils. I don't want no butt monkey coming on my server and slapping my shit, so there's a whitelist. Hope you understand <3

Easy. Follow these rules (which can be accessed any time on the server by using /rules):
Don't be a griefing, trolling, flaming, 'le trole faec' asshat. Easy peasy.
Don't spam chat / tp requests.
Don't use the following items, ever, at all. You will be banned immediately if you do.

Sure. TL;DR:
Tekkit Classic kicks ass and chews gum, except it's a modpack so it can't chew gum.
Additional comments: I was playing TTT just now, and it was my T round. We were on Richland, and I was in one of the apartments, on the upper level. I tried to go through the secret door (a wardrobe or something), only to find someone blocked it off, so it would open halfway and close again. The guy who blocked it off was looking through the door, so I popped a couple rounds in him with my Mac 10 and went to the medicine cabinets (a point where you can move between apartments) to flank him and finish him off. When I opened the cabinets, there were 2 dudes coming through, I shot them both. At this point my radar updated and I saw the original dude move, so I thought he was coming around to shoot me in the butt. I went back to the wardrobe to make sure he wasn't going to sneak up on me. The wardrobe wouldn't open, so I went back to the cabinets, where there was 2 more people coming though, so I shot one guy, and the other killed me with a shotgun. I tabbed out to check something since I was dead, and when I came back I got this:
A mighty fine compliment for my good work as a T, but quite the inconvenience. I've been a member of CG for a little while, and I love the community way too much to do anything that I would think could even get me kicked, much less banned. I hope this can be resolved so I can play again!
I'm making a map for CJ's TTT server using my newfound knowledge of Hammer, and I'd thought I'd post a little teaser for it here, since I do love this TTT board
Anyhow, the map's going to be called ttt_library, so far I've put about 2 hours into it, and I'm working on it in bits and pieces. I do get Thanksgiving break soon, so I'll probably finish it up then and reveal it to the world.
If anyone has suggestions on stuff they'd like to see, feel free to post them!
So on the TTT server, bhopping is pretty sweet. Lotsa guys do it. Unfortunately, I'm crap at it. I checked the rules and it didn't say anything on keyboard macros, but I thought I'd check just so I don't get banned. Here's what I would like to do: I have a Razer keyboard, and Razer Synapse lets me set macros and bind them to keys. So in order to pro bhop, I could do something like pic related, and it would be roughly the same as binding jump to mousewheel and spamming that, instead it would be like my spacebar was my mousewheel spamming jump.
Would this be against the rules? It's not anything injected, and all it's doing is helping me to jump around the server and yuk it up. Thanks!
I'd bind this to loop as long as I was pressing my spacebar.
