And thus my time here is ending. Here is my Letter of Resignation because I don't care about formatting on here anymore.
Reasons:
I have a more stable, consistent job.
The state of the Hidden servers upon my arrival.
There isn't so much a community anymore as there are occasional people who briefly rapi-post to gain position on a server that needs help.
I've done what I can to keep the servers clean while I was here, especially after the collapse.
But since I now have other things to focus time and energy on, I can't keep pushing here.
I now hereby resign my Admin position for the ConjointGaming Hidden servers Indefinitely.

I'm going off to work again.
I leave the chaos of the Hidden Servers in the capable hands of Kwarte, Keksas, Naruko, and whomever else may decide to pop back in to help out.
Kwarte, remember to help the two newbs and see they are capable enough to attain Regular Admin status.
Also, don't forget to ask for web permissions to edit your own bans. That's key in the event of a typo or mistake.
I'll be back in about two months. Promise to clean up after any parties before I come back please. Be responsible with the liquor cabinet.
And don't use the decorative towels!

So, in a recent deviated thread, the topic about forum rules and interpretation came up.
In an attempt to bring that topic it's own thread, here it is.
I have chosen the Debate section because we should discuss the rules here THEN post our final decision in the soon-to-be-updated Rules Thread, instead of dukin' it out in that thread itself.
The 2 obvious hot rules are Post Count and Necro.
These are two rules that was linked to each other. Post count being the yardstick by which we measure one's involvement with the Community and Necro MAINLY being ensuring someone aiming for Admin doesn't just spam old forgotten topics to pad their numbers. The other benefit of No Necro was stimulating new conversation instead of beating dead horses (and there's a ton of those).
I'll start off, Post Count to get Admin after the Implosion (I think we all know what that refers to) was officially dropped to an undisclosed number due to the need for new blood on the forums. I was okay and onboard with this. What bothered me was when someone's FIRST POST was an Admin Application. Too soon.
In this much quieter forum, Necro is hard to avoid. We're dying for new opinions, new topics, new faces. If someone joins after a month of silence, what are they supposed to do besides Introduce themselves? Restart new threads of the same topic that they gosh-darn missed out on by a week? Where's the context? Or the simplicity that should be Internet Communication?
We can make Necro a more "unofficial" rule (force new members to learn about it from other members, stimulate interaction) or we can expand the "expiration date" of topics. If a topic is said and done, we can ALWAYS just lock it.
Thoughts and Opinions are VERY appreciated and welcomed.

Just as Gregg the Grim Reaper hates cats and undead (and catfish), I hate hackers.
ConjointGaming takes a Are-You-Fucking-Serious-Dude?!?! stance on hacking, which will result in a permanent ban if caught. I'm a fan of this.
Earlier tonight, Red and myself caught a hacker. Red's proof has an UNDENIABLE moment of him hacking.
I mentioned his name to someone else and they went "I KNEW IT!"
So, in a bold move, I checked the kid's friend list. (By the way, did I mention this proof is SOLID?) I saw ONE FRIEND still in SDK 2006 (The Hidden mod). I joined the server. It wasn't ours, but another big community.
I politely called out the friend's name and he identified himself. I brought up his friend and how we have DEFINITE proof of him hacking. ( Like I paused at the right moment when he declares to see The Hidden before the kid has rounded the corner The Hidden is behind. It's painfully obvious. You'll see it.)
Now, it sounds as if there are a couple regulars on the server and they appear to know the name, too. They politely asked a couple questions about myself and I revealed being an Admin for ConjointGaming. I was asked if I was able to share/post the proof and I replied "With pleasure if asked." I joined ONLY to shame the hacker to his friend, but it appears another community now has the news, too and they seemed grateful for the information. There was nothing but pleasant exchanges between myself and the other players.
To me, this is how different communities should act to each other. I feel NO SHAME about what I did.
But I would like to ask you all is:
How you feel about this situation?
Do you feel I crossed a line?
Do you feel we should continue contacting other communities when we can? Our On-Site Sourcebans is GREAT for warning us about existing CG bans, but not other communities.
--Keep in mind, this WILL ONLY be done upon SOLID PROOF of hacking. It will require MORE THAN ONE ADMIN to agree "This is blatant hacking" and require the storage of said evidence. We don't need rogues running around spreading "lies" or "rumors", but as gamers, we should stand united against those who wish to cheat us out of a fair, fun match.
Right now, all I ask is your opinion on this matter. If it goes further, MAYBE discuss a way to expand it.

What was the problem/offense?:
At first I thought this kid was a good player. Then I was Hidden and crouched in a corner. I turned on my Aura and watched a green figure comes towards me, round the corner and IMMEDIATELY aim down and unload.
Then I got video of him tracking another Hidden around the map and firing off two rounds getting the Hidden mid-jump. Moving left to right on his screen. From across the map.
His current Steam name is Pamaaj and has a picture of his girlfriend (so he says) and his profile declares him in the Netherlands. Please ban this guy.

What was the problem/offense?:
Spectating the player revealed the player kept his gaze (laser sight) fixed on a point in Sewers. The Hidden was hiding in one of the tunnels among the catwalks. The player had no line of sight passing underneath but the laser dot was fixated on what appeared to be beyond the ceiling. Sure enough, emerging into the Generator room, the player started shooting into the tunnel and started directly hitting the Hidden.
Another instance with myself as Hidden, I was emerging from the pipes into column room and I was not even outside the pipe when I started taking fire. I died shortly, all damage from the player.
Another Admin was called in for a second opinion, but the player left the server.
While I have no video evidence, I know a wall hacker when I see one.
If nothing else, please be advised of this Steam ID in case the player pops up again.

That would be me. My in-game name is Live Bait. I'm pretty much just a Hidden player. I played as Recruit for almost a week when hanging with some (very) new friends on Discovery, I volunteered to stand out on the containers by IRIS spawn. I re-dubbed my name to Live Bait, got a bunch of laughs and decided to keep it.
I mainly run point, so I'm often getting killed by the Hidden, but soon enough, when left without support, even the Bait fights back.
I'm old. It's okay. I'm also crude and crass. And I also tend to die while chatting. But that's okay. It's just a game, right?
I also drink and play. That's fun.
