It happens after patches fairly often, when most of the servers aren't updated to the latest version.

There becomes a ton of servers that fill up so quickly the launcher's player count can't keep up, or at least that's what I observed when I first tried to play.

There's also a variety of other issues that sometimes come up, like freezing on the Wait for Host, or getting kicked (sent back to the menu screen) without warning.

I would like it when I get kicked or my game has an issue and doesn't connect, that it would actually TELL ME. So I don't sit there, waiting on it, for hours.

When me and Tendy first tried it out, we waited two hours for the initial loading screen just to find out that we installed it backwards. Silly game.

Run. There is no fatigue. Eventually, you lose them.

I like being chased, honestly. MAKES ME FEEL TASTY.

So wrong in many levels.

Well yea, I noticed that. You can run unlimited.
Which is kinda gay.

I thought you said NASTY.

I was so very confused.

And Finnie, try to make it to a town without being seen by zombies, check the houses/barns. You should find at least a hatchet. Then (look at a map) go to the Balota airfield, there's usually some heavy weapons there. THEN you can make your way to one of the main cities like Elektro or Cherno.

Avoid big cities until you get REALLY prepared. Be wary of the airfield too because people snipe unwary noobs looking for new weapons.

Just remember Finnie, crawling around prone can be very effective when it comes to sneaking past zombies. You'd be surprised how close you can get, not that you should. You can also use Q and E to roll in either direction, when prone. Running crouched is good too when you're traveling near-ish towns, as running upright is sure to aggro tons. Don't underestimate walking either. Just watch the eye and ear icons, they show how much noise you're putting out, and how easy it is to see you. Stay on grasses too, as they make you harder to see than on pavement.

When running from a zombie, try to make sharp turns and move through trees and around buildings. Zombies often get confused and stop to look around. You can always try doing this and then diving to the ground, then laying there prone in the grass. You should have 0 bars in sight and sound.

EDIT:
This is also pretty good for getting an idea of where to scavenge, it talks about some buildings in Elektro. Of course this route is always risky, and better if you have more people, but it's good to be able to identify some of the buildings like the fire station and hospital.
