Meh, you just know that the new gen consoles are going to cost the best part of £300 and upwards. Plus it seems they aren't focusing now on the 'gamer'. Rather they are diluting it's importance over branching their marketing pool.
Its the death of console gaming as we know it. Sayonara. Goodbye. Ciao.

Saw a comment the other day:
"It's called the Xbox One because they went 359 steps backwards."
Totally agree, it's also a little bit too square.. I don't think there's any need for another xbox, too. :p

Why the fuck are they naming it "Xbox One"? Seriously, this "let's give the illusion of rebooting a line of products just by changing the fucking name, because we're so fucking original" trend is starting to get really old.
Movies are doing it, video games are doing it, and now consoles are doing it. Holy crap dude.
I don't know why, but this pisses me off more than it should. It's just the name, but it's the dumbest way to build "OH MAN, THIS COMPANY IS DOING SOMETHING NEW!" hype. Even the name itself sounds dumb, IMO.
PS: I don't own a PS3.

From what I've seen, they're calling the Xbox One because it has everything in one.

Yeah they are marketing it as an "All in one entertainment center" and its like a fucking DVR and all the other stuff.
I already have an "All in one entertainment center" its my goddamned PC I can hook up to my TV if I want (my monitor is practically a big HDTV in itself!)

"Hey, everybody! Have you ever wanted a device that functions almost exactly like a PC, but is far more limited in what it's capable of, less accessible, and illegal to customize or really do anything useful with? Well, now you can!"

I could care less about the name. I am offended they are charging people to play used games and actually attempting to sell this product. It's pathetic.

Ew.. I was really expecting more than that..
What are the upgrades? The ability to move the console while the disc is on? Blu-ray discs? Graphics that don't look like a step up from PS2?

"Games will be bound to a windows live account and the use of "Used Games' will require a fee to activate them on a second account"
That's fucking adorable
Can't say I feel bad for the Console people.

The only good argument about owning a console is that it works with no hassle. Its unfortunate but PC's are too finicky for your average gamer (read: 16-18 year olds that only care about playing games). I can see why people buy consoles for that reason.....but once you go PC, you never go back.

Not true, I use both. I use my Xbox360 to play with friends who cant afford a gaming PC, and I still play games on the Wii (nothing new but the games I have, I love)
