First off. This is a rule on the MotD. The very last one I believe.
It says "No inappropriate sprays" - that could mean anything, it's exceedingly vauge. It was not porn, it was yaoi.

Just because he's 17 does not mean he's not cut out for the job nor that his bans would be any harsher than the rest of us.
Not saying that he isn't cut out, just a possible factor here, though given you being 16 it would make sense why you would be personally offended.

Well that just never happened, unless he did it while I was In my settings changing my spray

In my experience, older admins are more likely to be balanced in punishment, just an observation.

No, it was 4 rounds, your friend left after you got banned because he wanted to play with you.
He stayed on there for another round, I was talking with him on mumble.

And again, no justification for a permaban.

Kindly,

Guy is obviously deserving of some of it, but you gotta stop acting so rashly.

Thank you! All I was trying to point out.

Just saying, yaoi/yuri/anything in between all counts as porn, and it's also a criminal offense to distribute porn to minors.

I don't think you need to even bring up a rule for illegal content on a server, because I sure as hell wouldn't like to see the server provider taking the server down for one person spraying a porn spray. Just my take on this.

Edit2: Admin said spray was inappropriate, and you continued to deem it as vague.

Could you see genitalia?
Was there implied sex happening?

If so it falls under the porn category.

This seems far too much like you're trying to find loop holes in our rules now. Yes it's vague. Because inappropriate content is a broad concept. We could break it down into at least 50 different rules if you'd like. But most people, if they have a head on their shoulders, understands what inappropriate content means. Don't try to bend words. These rules were reviewed mercilessly for a while before they were approved and put on the MotD.

Just gonna say this once real quick. If you had properly appealed your ban, I would have no problem with reducing or taking your ban away. However, your confrontational approach to it is what has me up in arms. I find it's the people who confront their bans rather than opt to have them properly reviewed are the ones who end up repeat-offending. I'm not making any predictions about your character. That is just the facts I've gleaned from past experience.

Spoiler for Hidden:
appeal

"police are appealing for information about the incident"

A spray is far from distribution, if so, than any ISP that allows access to porn would be shutdown under this same rule. Nor would GTA be aloowed to be sold

Further, the game The Hidden is built on has an M rating from the ESRB which is defined as:
Quote
MATURE
Content is generally suitable for ages 17 and up. May contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language.

Anyway, again, as there was no map/game change, there was no way to show a changed spray. If a time ban had been applied I wouldn't even be here, as I have said he was in his rights to ban, but a permaban is not fitting to the offense (especially for never having had any prior offenses).

17 and 18 is a year difference.

(17 being the common age in NA for Mature Rated games to be purchased, 18 being the legal age to purchase pornographic content.)

I am not sure what the relevance of this is.

This has also turned into, criticizing the perceived tone of my appeal, as opposed to a discourse on it's content.

You keep saying that it takes till the end of the map for the spray to actually change.  Yet even when you keep saying that you changed your spray because it was bad, you continue to spray the old bad spray over the next few rounds when you still knew you were doing something against the rules, making me remove it and then ban you.  Why you do this, I do not know.

The ESRB rating for a game has no relevance to the server's rules. The server realizes the presence of children and aims to make the game an enjoyable environment for the entire demographic on our servers.

Regardless. Stop trying to turn it into "There was no chance for my spray to change." You had a chance to STOP spraying the spray. You failed to do so, whether you changed it or not. ESPECIALLY if you changed it in the settings and you have knowledge is doesn't change until a map change. In which case you realized you had been warned, attempted to change your spray and then continued spraying with knowledge of the fact it would not change until next map. Unless your reasoning has been false for not seeing warnings based on the fact you were in settings changing said spray. (In which case you should have seen the warnings.)

I do find it confrontational. There are plenty more constructive ways to go about this. Properly appeal your ban. Join the community. And then properly post an admin abuse or admin disapproval thread as a member of the community. Everyone knows attacking an admin in a ban appeal does not help your appeal.

Yes, I changed it just before the ban, because the guy I was playing with mentioned over mumble he had been slapped. Then the ban happened.

I keep asking why you went straight for a permaban, but it still hasn't been addressed.

It has been addressed. It was deemed inappropriate. At this point this entire appeal is based on the fact that you're attacking the admin in question. As well as down playing our rules and trying to find loop holes instead of owning up to the fact that you broke one. As I said before. I would have had no problem with it being reduced or removed originally. But after your behavior in this thread, I can no longer say I would enjoy seeing your ban reduced or removed.

Is posting to the ban appeal thread, not the place to appeal my ban?
Also I had to join the community to post here in the first place. There is no attacking here, simply providing all the facts that seem relevant. The only thing you seem to have taken offense to was including the age of the admin in question, which seems perfectly relevant to me. But i'll just leave it there.

How about we all calm down and wait for the Head Admin to weigh in before continuing?
