Rules / Murder Server Rules
« on: January 26, 2014, 09:49:55 PM »
Murder Server Rules:

  • Do not block any major hallways or rooms, only block rooms unimportant and with one way in ect.
  • Do not attempt to hold off the round EG: not murdering people purposely as Murderer, not attempting to shoot the Murderer as a Bystander ect.
  • Do not call somebody the Murderer unless you have evidence they are.
  • If somebody is AFK, notify an Admin, if no Admin's are on then you must wait at least 5 mins into the round to shoot them.
  • No offensive/pornographic sprays.
  • Respect all Admin/Moderator's and their decisions, do not argue with them.
  • No exploiting any glitches or bugs. Report them to an Admin or Moderator immediately.
  • Staff impersonation WILL lead to your ban.
  • Keep racism/sexism/trolling to a friendly manner.
  • No advertising other servers, communities, websites ect.
  • Don't mic/chat spam.

Helpful tips (Suggestions, not rules):
  • If you already have a gun, do not pick up any more points, as this is effectively stealing off everybody else.
  • If you are the murderer. Do not pull out the knife immediately. The only weapon you have is a knife and if a person sees you pull out a knife they will probably alert everyone.
  • Press Q and scream for help with it if you do not have a mic. It's a good last measure to cry for help.
  • On maps that support it, collect 5 green glowing clue items to get a gun (only as a bystander).
  • If somebody is annoying you ie: following you, repeatedly hitting you with things you may shoot them ONLY after you have warned them first!
  • As a Bystander, Do not Randomly shoot people.

GarrysMod / Conjoint Gaming : Offical GMOD Murder Server Online!!
« on: January 26, 2014, 04:02:43 AM »
What is Garry's Mod Murder?

Murder is a gamemode of deception and murder, based off Murder in the Dark and a bit similar to Cluedo.
One person is a murderer with a knife, who is trying to secretly kill off the other players.
The other players must use their wits to find out who it is and kill them first. Unfortunately they only have the one gun between them.

===Bystander===
If you are a bystander you must run around collecting items with a green glow around them.
Collect 5 items and you will get a gun.
The gun is a one hit kill but you only get one bullet before you reload.

One person will spawn as a bystander with a gun. Everyone else will have to find items to get them.
===Murderer===
If you are the murderer you must kill all the bystanders.
You have a knife that is a 1 hit kill unless the server is laggy. Sometimes it will take multiple hits for no reason.
You can collect green items as well but you wont get a gun."

In The News / Last Chance to get a chance! - Malwarebytes Pro
« on: December 23, 2013, 12:43:56 PM »
Incoming towards us all is our last chance to get Malwarebytes life time subscription. Which is listed now at $25.00.
Which is fine and dandy and you probably already know this. However what you don't know is they are upgrading to a newer better version of Mbam (Malwarebytes), Malwarebytes 2.0. Which on release will offer a $25 per year subscription. However please read the following:

Quote
As previously mentioned, with the launch of 2.0, we'll also be moving to a subscription licensing model, $24.95 per year. As more and more people have come to rely on us for malware protection and cleanup, our costs in bandwidth, hosting fees, infrastructure, salaries of our researchers, QA department, and more have grown immensely. Though our company is about more than just making money, we are a company and we do have to make money to pay our staff to continue doing what they love, which is fighting malware. The subscription model will help us to be sustainable for the future while staying true to our roots that we will always make malware cleanup free for everyone.
However,
Quote
We will continue to honour existing lifetime licenses, meaning any users that already have a lifetime license for 1.x will continue to have a lifetime license for 2.x.

So now is the last chance to use my link below to get a life time subscription to arguably the best Anti-Malware Software Available.
https://store.malwarebytes.org/342/?affiliate=2169&scope=cart&cart=29945

Yes this is a referral link but it's about a product I trust and use on a day to day bases and I don't want you to miss out on this. Being a limited time offer I figured this was the best time to alert you all. I have no idea when version 2.0 comes out. So wait at your own risk.

I use to work at a computer shop btw, and every time we had to remove tough malware from PC's (Virus's, Trojans, Worms, Spyware, Adware, PUP's, etc), Malwarebytes was always there to finish the job. Catching what no other Anti Virus's would. I wouldn't be telling you this if it wasn't a true product I could endorse and be honest about.

But that's all. Just as a last minute reminder. Letting you all know.

General Discussions / The Truth Behind Skype - A Company Full Of Lies!!!
« on: December 20, 2013, 01:51:07 PM »
The Scandal Unfolds

So as many of you know Skype is a VOIP service many of you already use. People use it to call land-lines, mobile phones or Skype numbers (pc to pc). But, to put it in the words of the creators: Skype is for doing things together, whenever you’re apart. Skype’s text, voice and video make it simple to share experiences with the people that matter to you, wherever they are.

With Skype, you can share a story, celebrate a birthday, learn a language, hold a meeting, work with colleagues – just about anything you need to do together every day. You can use Skype on whatever works best for you - on your phone or computer or a TV with Skype on it. It is free to start using Skype - to speak, see and instant message other people on Skype for example. You can even try out group video, with the latest version of Skype.

Cool beans, Either way...Recently I got Skype Premium for free, for an entire year (I've had it once before no issues). This was part of a promo. Or "The Skype Collaboration Project". Where Skype was giving away vouchers for "1 Year of Free Skype Premium" to any user that enters there email. So like many others I entered my email and got a voucher. I was happy to use it and was happy when Skype said, 1 Year of free Premium Activated. Wahoo! Then my happiness faded when I couldn't call any land-lines like I had before when I had Skype premium. So I checked to see if the defintion of Skype Premium had changed... it had not. Also I checked my account status. "Premium Subscription". Hummm. So according to the website. I had Skype Premium, it was active, and I could not make calls to land-lines.

Now what is skype premium? For those of you who don't already know.

As defined by Skype.com
Quote
Skype Premium is a great way to enjoy all the features Skype has to offer. It lets you take advantage of group video calling (currently available on Windows desktop and Mac), so that you can call and see several members of your family at once, or celebrate New Year with your friends from different time zones. You can also enjoy unlimited* calling to mobiles and landlines in a country of your choice**, so you can talk for as long as you like, as often as you like, without worrying about time or cost.

*A fair usage policy applies.

**To view the list of countries, scroll down to the bottom of the Skype Premium features list and select the Unlimited calls to a country of your choice link.

Alright, so I can call anyone in my country free right? *RIGHT*, Humm, isn't working.
Lets contact support

And so the adventure begins.

Chapter 1: Customer Support?!
Quote
Hello! Welcome to Skype Live Support! My name is Earl. How may I help you?
Matthew: at 10:41:03
Hi, I just got skype premium for a year via a voucher I received. And it says I get "Unlimited calls to a country/region of your choice†"
Matthew: at 10:41:12
However, I can't call any landlines.
Earl R: at 10:41:34
I will be more than happy to assist you with today.
Earl R: at 10:42:30
Thank you matthew may I have your Skype name, please?
Matthew: at 10:42:38
*CENSORED*
Earl R: at 10:42:50
Thank you.
Earl R: at 10:43:41
Kindly stay on the chat line let me check on this
Matthew: at 10:43:55
Sure no problem.
Earl R: at 10:44:45
Thank you.
Earl R: at 10:47:48
Alright, Matthew I already check you Skype account.
Earl R: at 10:50:15
The reason why the call did not went through is because you dont have enough balance to your Skype account (Skype Credit)
Wait, What? But I have Skype Premium. I get free unlimited calls. Surely I don't need a balance of credit then right?
Quote
Earl R: at 10:50:34
You need to have first a balance to make a call.
What?
But wait, didn't we just read:
"You can also enjoy unlimited* calling to mobiles and landlines in a country of your choice**, so you can talk for as long as you like, as often as you like, without worrying about time or cost."
Uh oh. Something has gone wrong. Either someone is lieing or Skype is confused.
Quote
Matthew: at 10:51:03
So premium does not actually give you unlimited free calls?
Matthew: at 10:51:39
Are you charged for calls if you have premium?

Earl R: at 10:52:21
Skype Premium is a great way to enjoy all the features Skype has to offer.
Matthew: at 10:52:59
So it's a little deceptive then isn't it?
Earl R: at 10:54:51
Along with the Skype premium is you need to have a subscription. There is instances that customer getting confused on how the process is.
Matthew: at 10:55:09
it doesn't seem to mention that on your site though.
But I've had Skype premium and this wasn't true back then. Also you don't mention I need this with my premium so therefore you've lied to me and I get all my money back "to bad this was free". Oh but wait the story changes. Looks like he was confused and told me incorrect info.. Wait what?

Also what country was selected for me? The voucher didn't ask me.

Chapter 2: Dark Mater Skype Research Centre!
Quote
Matthew: at 10:55:26
Also it didn't get me to pick a country of my choice so I'm not sure what it picked for me?
Earl R: at 10:56:17
Your are correct
Earl R: at 10:56:37
You need to have a specific country for this Skype premium.
Matthew: at 10:57:01
So what country is selected for me?
Earl R: at 10:58:29
Let me check on that Matthew.
Earl R: at 11:04:01
I already check this matthew.
Earl R: at 11:04:32
This is voucher is only good for group video calling.
Uhhh.......Ok wtf. WHAT?! Doesn't say that does it? It shows up as premium. Premium = Premium. When does Premium not equal Premium.

Apparently the people at Skype can't do simple Math.
1=1 and 1 always equals 1 the day it doesn't the laws of physics and bounds of reality have been broken. Is Skype on the brink of a new scientific discovery I was unaware of? Are they creating worm holes in their basements? Holy Shit OH MY GOD.

SKYPE IS THE NEW WORLD OVERLOARD!!!

Or...
Quote
Earl R: at 11:04:49
Skype calling using a group video calling
Matthew: at 11:05:05
But it claims to be for skype premium.
Matthew: at 11:05:06
Your Skype Premium order was completed successfully and is now active.
Matthew: at 11:05:13
As part of your subscription you can now: Your subscription • Product name: Skype Premium • Skype Name: *CENSORED* • Transaction date: Dec 18, 2013 • Order reference: *CENSORED* • Total amount: CAD107.88
Earl R: at 11:06:16
That is correct.
Matthew: at 11:06:29
https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10868/what-is-skype-premium

So wait, the site claims I get free calls with no mention of a need for a subscription... then why now do I need one?

Perhaps the fare use document answers my question.
Quote from: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10364/what-is-the-fair-usage-policy-for-unlimited-subscriptions

Using a subscription, for instance, to engage in telemarketing practices or call center operations
    Re-selling subscription minutes
Sharing subscriptions between numerous users via a PBX, call center, computer or by any other means
Using a subscription for other than your individual business communications, calling numbers (whether individually, sequentially or automatically) to generate income for yourself or others as a result of merely placing the call
Unusual calling patterns inconsistent with common, individual subscription use, for example, making regular short calls or making calls to multiple numbers in unusually short periods of time

The Fair Usage Policy restricts calls to a maximum of two-hour periods.  Once a call has reached two hours, it will be automatically disconnected. However, you’ll be able to dial the same number again straight away.

The Fair Usage Policy also applies to any other unlawful, prohibited and unusual activities.

Any actions contrary to the Fair Usage Policy or Skype’s Terms of Use may lead to your subscription being suspended or our relationship with you being terminated. Where we consider it reasonable, we may provide you with a notice of improper behavior before suspending, terminating or offering an alternative subscription, as we deem appropriate.
Nope.

So the website actually lies to me flat out.

Interesting...
Quote
False Advertising: False advertising or deceptive advertising is the use of false or misleading statements in advertising. ...
Wait, isn't that illegal? Uh Oh.

So what gives?

Quote
Earl R: at 11:07:54
Matthew, this Skype premium that you have as a voucher
Earl R: at 11:08:34
is a free group video calling you your friends, family and relatives.
Earl R: at 11:09:05
If you need to make a call from skype to mobiles and landlines you need to have a subscription.
Earl R: at 11:09:27
The only thing that is for free for the voucher is the group video calling.
Matthew: at 11:10:05
So then the voucher isn't very well labelled then. It shouldn't show up as a premium subscription. Since it obviously isn't one.
Earl R: at 11:11:12
That is correct. But i suggest Matthew try to take advantage of it.
Oh, Ok thank you sir. -_-
Quote
Earl R: at 11:11:44
Skype premium is also one of the best subscription we have at this moment because of the Holiday season
Aw sweet to bad I don't have it then.
Quote
Matthew: at 11:11:50
So I can only take advantage of certain parts of the premium functions correct?
Earl R: at 11:12:09
Most customer needs to have a group video call to thier loveones.
Matthew: at 11:13:05
OK. But just to be clear, I can not take advantage of unlimited calls?
Oh?
So this premium voucher wasn't for premium after all... yet it shows up as premium when used. Uhhhhh...
Wut?

Chapter 3: The Black Hole Caves
Quote
Earl R: at 11:13:45
Unlimited call to mobiles and landlines?
Matthew: at 11:13:59
Yes.
Earl R: at 11:14:09
You can have unlimited calls from Skype to Skype (Group video calling)
Cool, can I also knit a mitten? Tell me more things I already know and haven't asked please!
Quote
Matthew: at 11:14:30
So I do not actually have Skype premium then.
Matthew: at 11:15:00
Because by definition Skype premium includes "Unlimited call to mobiles and landlines"
Earl R: at 11:16:37
I am sorry to inform mathew the reason you have Skype premoum is that you have advantage to have a group video call.
Shit... Now I get it. I don't have Skype Premium after all, I have Skype premoum, DAMN. Wish I knew what the hell that was. Is it an oil I rub on my member before I stuff it up your buttox? Kidding, I don't hate you.
Quote
Earl R: at 11:16:53
Along with that if you need to have a unlimited calls
Matthew: at 11:16:56
Ok but then it isn't really Skype premium then.
Matthew: at 11:17:04
isn't*
Earl R: at 11:17:08
You need to have a subscription to unlimited call.
Earl R: at 11:17:33
Yes you are correct,

Lets look at that again
Quote
Matthew: at 11:16:56
Ok but then it isn't really Skype premium then.
Earl R: at 11:17:33
Yes you are correct,

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VRr9NG7RE0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VRr9NG7RE0</a>

Quote
Matthew: at 11:16:56
Ok but then it isn't really Skype premium then.
Earl R: at 11:17:33
Yes you are correct,

That took a while.
Quote
Matthew: at 11:17:41
OK then.
Matthew: at 11:17:45
Thank you.
Matthew: at 11:18:04
Sorry if I gave you a hard time just trying to clear everything up.

So this entire fight is over nothing? I never had Skype premium. But Skype says I do.
What do you think CG. Is it misleading? Or should it be ok the way it is?

In all honestly I don't hate the guy. Anything wrong with that offer was not his fault and he helped the best he could with what he was given. So props to him for putting up with me.

Anyways get your own fake skype premium at: https://collaboration.skype.com/promotion/
Happy fake premium.

And to be fair

Voice Server / TeamSpeak Rules
« on: November 21, 2013, 01:15:21 PM »
For the official up to date list of Teamspeak rules please go to: http://www.conjointgaming.com/forum/index.php?topic=4483.0

Keep in mind the rules below MAY be outdated.
Quote
For the most part the Teamspeak Rules should be displayed on the MoTD for connecting guests. For further reference they will posted here as well and to help elaborate some things.

1. Don't be rude, inconsiderate, condescending, or otherwise mean-spirited.

2. No personal attacks. If you want to say something about someone, please say it elsewhere. We've had too many sissy fits with people talking behind each others backs.

3. Do not mic spam others. In some cases it's fine to have a sing-a-long with others but do not go into another channel to annoy others with your screaming.

4. Try to listen to the admins. If they request something, do it. Admins on Vent are mostly CL's and HA's.

5. Don't do anything annoying. Switching channel constantly, paging over and over, binds, and other small things are not allowed. It's annoying and can warrant an admin to remove some of your abilities.

6. Do not mute CL's or HA's in ventrilo.

7. Recording a Teamspeak conversation without the permission of everyone within that channel will result in a CG ban/suspension (The ban time will be decided by CLS depending on the outcome of your recording) And will always result in a Perma teamspeak Ban.

This excludes when someone is being, racist, trolling, sexist, or breaking a MAJOR CG Rule.
If recording inform a CL or HA you are recording and why.

More info and rule 7 is located at: http://www.conjointgaming.com/forum/index.php?topic=7443.0

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you break any of the above rules admins will respond with whatever seems fit. If you feel you were unjustly treated you are welcome to post an admin abuse topic on the forums here.

Below is a list of things we encourage in our Vent but do not really enforce.

- Interact with CG. We have many people filling our vent slots who have nothing to do with CG and use it to talk to each other alone. Although not a big problem at the moment, it does tend to get annoying with random people filling up slots or channels for their own needs outside of CG.

- Try to stay in channels relating to whatever you are doing. By that, I mean if you are playing Team Fortress 2, please sit in the TF2 channel. Likewise with the other channels.

- If people are playing a game together in one channel, it would be best to leave them alone. You wouldn't want anyone bothering you while your trying to talk to friends in-game would you?

The teamspeak server is currently owned by Inject. If you have any concerns contact him or any of the CG CL's. Rules are subject to change.

Valid as of Nov 21, 2013

General Discussions / Mobile Device Question - Very Important - CG .mobi
« on: September 06, 2013, 06:35:25 PM »
To best optimize CG's mobile platform I need to know what mobile platforms users use the most. So this is a very important question. At the moment I'm trying hard to have CG as excusable as possible as it has come to my attention lately that a MASS amount of CG users actually go to CG upon their mobile devices. This is an issue because as of currently CG is poorly optimized for such devices. I have released a beta CG Mobile link that some users found in the shout box, however I'd like to make sure it is far more integrated and smooth lined before anything is officially released. The mobile website listed before in the shout box is nothing more then a minor test, and does not represent the finial product.

The mobile platform of CG will be free to all users and will never require a charge.
It will however, not receive the befits of the portal or Simple Portal as a whole (Unless this is found to be something people desire A LOT).

So please post what mobile device you use and vote above. If you have any other questions or think I'm forgetting to ask something post below.

Thanks,

Team Fortress 2 / Saxton Hale - You called, we answered.
« on: September 02, 2013, 09:57:38 AM »
Welp, everyone asked for more. So we did exactly that.

Saxton hale now has:
Goomba Stomp, Taunt Crits, Eureka Effect, Amplifier (Back by popular demand), Short Circuit stun, and more.

In addition to the fixing of some issues and balancing out these new plugins we have also moved to a better form of game play. While you may be aware Pinion (An Ad Service for games) was at a time used on CG servers. However, after they changed to a forced 30 second ad method may users became distressed, and annoyed. Resulting in less happy players, and less players in total. This is unfortunate because the ads did show good promise to making the server be self sufficient. But with this new method it just would not work. Pinion also bypassed our MOTD, so players didn't even know the rules!

This resulted in our change to: MOTD GD
Before you panic....

MOTD GD will force you no more then 5 seconds of ad watching (Can be adjusted to zero if people dislike this), and will show you the MOTD after the ad! Allowing users to help the server live and know the rules at the same time.

In light of all this we have added a new Map: vsh_warebloom_r1a
Take a peak:
Spoiler for Hidden:

So thank you all for you comments and suggestions. Keep em coming!

Voice Server / Teamspeak 3 - A Huge Success? Do we make a move?
« on: August 14, 2013, 11:18:57 PM »
As you can see within under a week our TeamSpeak 3 server has been shooting up in popularity. Following the fall of our old ventrilo this has happened. And frankly it's been quite a while since I've seen even our Ventrilo have 10+ People in it at once. So to me it currently appears that our teamspeak 3 server may be more of a success and more popular then our old ventrilo server.

Hear are a few benefits:

     * Bans are more easily placed as permanent (A simple IP change won't always get around bans like it does in vent)
     * Ban durations can be set (Bans can be a specified time to correlate with another CG ban perhaps)
     * WAY LESS Exploits. (Vent with a simple audio file on a clients end could crash every user in the channel, Also many other exploits such as spamming comment change, adding millions of accounts, non stop paging, etc etc)
     * Customization!!! (Double Edged Sword...)
          - Each channel has links on the side to the servers that will automatically open then up and send you in.
          - Change voice Codec per channel (Great for music channels)
          - Advance user permissions (Difficult to setup the way you want at first but great once you do)
          - Custom icons per channel and per user group
          - More advance admin power
     * Free 32 Slot server

Now this all sounds great but we also have the disadvantages

Some disadvantages:
     * Far more difficult initial setup (User end), many options.
     * Advance user permissions (Difficult to setup the way you want at first but great once you do)
     * Users tend to not want to switch from 1 software to another (put lightly ventrilo <3)
     * Users can have any avatar they want
     * Some features are not default that should be
     * Difficult layout
     * More steps to connect
     * Different voice codec

In the end it's up to you community. Which do you like more. Personally I don't care to much. I like both. I see both of their advantages. Which ever option you chose we will keep TeamSpeak online. So if we get a ventrilo you can still get on our teamspeak server. Simply because it's free and not a bother to us.

If we do get a ventrilo.

We will get about a $4 per month charge (on a 20 slot server *Approx).

So community... What do you think?

Voice Server / Ventrilo Down - A good Service dies today :(
« on: August 08, 2013, 03:23:03 PM »
Message from our host for ventrilo:
Quote
Hello Matthew,

We would like to thank everyone for their patronage over the years, and it is with great sadness that we are announcing today Vent4Rent will be closing down operations at the end of the month - August, 31, 2013. All current servers will remain up for the remainder of the billing cycle but will be shutdown at the end of the billing period.

It has simply become too costly to try and maintain the high level of quality everyone expects (and we try to provide) for an affordable price.

Just to reiterate - all current servers will be cancelled at the end of their billing period and will remain up until then. If you have any other issues, please email support@vent4rent.com and we will try to address them in a timely manner.

Thank you,
Vent4Rent

For us the service would end Aug.7th. Which has passed.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
I'm looking at other hosting company's prices and other possible ideas as well. So it's not the end. I know some people don't use ventrilo but please if you don't leave your comments out of this as there are many players who still like and use our ventrilo.

As a temporary fix we have 32 Slot Teamspeak server up.

IP: 198.50.26.34:9987

This is not permanent (Although the TS can stay) and we will look into getting a new ventrilo.

Thank you.

Head Admin nomination / Christovski for ZM HeadAdmin
« on: August 03, 2013, 10:57:56 AM »
Seems like everyone likes to just think they know everything, but w/e. I've had reports I'm trying to kill ZM, that I want it to die. None of these are true. There has been far to much miscommunication.

It's obviously no surprise that I do not approve of much of the ZM community's attitudes, but that however does not mean I (and the Team of CLs) were not working to find the appropriate head admin nomination. Either way, you wanted it you got it.

This thread will live no longer then 48 Hours.

Unless theres a ton of "NO NOT CHIRS" votes Chris will become the ZM head admin (which is whats going to happen).

At that point Chris will get
  - Server FTP
  - Fast DL
  - CPanel Accuses

Which is what every HA gets of their respective server.

Past that there isn't much help I can offer. Of course if there's something the HA doesn't understand or needs help with I will try to explain it.

I don't want to take to much away from this nomination but I do need to clear the error:
I was not delaying this on purpose. There was issues, and they did not get solved. Due to miscommunication, and things being done without approval things got out of hand and messed up.

Either way doesn't matter now.

+1 and -1 are acceptable along side with your response are reasoning. As always be polite and be decisive. Thanks :)
Let the votes begin.

This whole event happened about 3-4 days ago:

While using Skype and playing minecraft with a friend I encountered an issue. A pop up came on my PC whilst I was in game. Scared and afraid I had contracted a virus on my computer, I immediately shut down and did several boot scans. After finding no results I got confused.

Then I ran Skype within a virtual machine within Ubuntu. Noticing the similar ad that had popped up on my machine within there program. I clicked it and it went to the same place.

I replicated the result restarting a fresh Virtual Machine. I opened Skype to the Home page with the ad and closed out of the Skype window. Then my default browser opened up the ad displayed within demanding I complete a survey.

This is a Severe security issue. And for a company like Microsoft to have this in there (now owned) products is absolutely unacceptable.
I have confirmed without a doubt that Skype has banner Hijacked me with a rouge ad displayed within the application.

If you are concerned the issue arises from an add from SafeCount

Ads from safe count similar to this will Hijack your browser into opening up and displaying there survey without even clicking the ad. This can happen by closing out the current Skype window or by ads changing behind the scenes randomly while a Skype call runs in the background. Although you personally may never see this ad due to not being the target audience or for what ever other reason the point still stands. The security issue is that simplistic scripts running within applications for showing ads are just not secure. This brings way for easy Malware drive bys and other security issues that highly dangerous or that invade your privacy. Once the pop up comes up it will add a nice tracking cookie to your PC. Upon which it will stop popping up unless you remove the cookie then it appears to do the exploit again if you have Skype open and it runs past this ad. The ad it self appears to show 1/50 times. So it's not always common to see it.

With Skype now being bundled with Windows 8 (Skype which is now owned by Microsoft) this means the ~$300 OS you've paid for... is supported by software with ads. How is this appropriate? For Microsoft to let something as big as this slide is absurd to say the least.

But hey, That's just what I think. Being a person who likes not getting my PC infected. What does this make you think of Skype?
