For a while there I thought crow was brainwashed by EA.
I had thought someone from EA hacked his account -_-
hypothetically,
The sims updater does not act upon the game files like every other game does.
Normally you get a patch say for battlefield and in that patch it will probably replace the .exe file that launches the game.
However when it comes to the sims the game updates it's files differently. When you go to install an x pak it updates the previous game regardless to accommodate the new content.
Hypothetically...this has never been an issue for someone...I know.
INB4 cadaver gives a lock!
It could maybe work. But you also have to deal with the fact that the other "legit" applications can be updated, and this making it in-compatible with the "non-legit" applications.
When you apply updates the new or /next revision/ x pak takes over as the head of the house hold. all future updates will be applied through that version of the game and the Sims launcher will execute that X-paks executable to run the game.
That is why you could...Hypothetically have Legit | Cracked | Legit | Cracked | Cracked | Cracked | Legit and the game would still run fine, even if the last x pak you installed was Not legit.
