TIME TO RATE SOME SONGS YO.
In this thread you MUST listen to the song in the last post if you want to post your own song. Nobody can be skipped but if you would like to also review an older song feel free. In your post you must give a 1-10 rating and explain what you thought in a few sentences. You can't simply post a random number and post your song, even if you've heard the song before, listen now and give it a legit rating and opinion. Everyone's entitled to whatever opinion they want but please be nice. Keep the songs at a reasonable length and extremity. This is less about being funny or trolling and more about sharing music with others.
FIRST SONG TO BE RATED.

9/10. I fuckin' love Ronald Jenkees. This isn't my favorite track by him, though. I think that'll have to go to Guitar Sound.

I'd say this is an 8.5/9. I've really been in the dumps-ish area, and this sounds like the right song to chill to. I could definitely listen to this in my spare time; I really like songs with a mellow tone.

Edit: Gawdamnit Billy, now I gotta listen to that, too.
Right now, I'd give it about 7; I'd add it to a high-octane playlist for my video games, for sure. (Kinda reminds me of when I used to play Art of Parkour.) If there was any little thing I didn't like about it? Eh, just the repetition, but that's no biggie, repetition does well here.

8/10. I like this. I don't know what the hell she's saying, and that's probably why I like it. Reminds me of this one song I loved that I found randomly 5 years ago. I guess I'll link it now.

Yeah that's a 9; I'm not really sure what the genre is, but it's very soothing on the soul. (Mellow songs for life.) Plus the guitar strumming is really peaceful.
I really like White Stripes/Jack White too.

7/10
I love Jack White but for some reason that song was mediocre for me, the "Beatboxing" at the beginning seems out of place and strange but I like the rest of the song. The guitar riffs are pretty simple too but all in all I still liked it. I like how he says Noyvous instead of nervous at one point lol.

6.5; through some parts I feel it being a 6, through others, 7. The one unique thing I like about it, is that it sort of sounds like it was taken from the middle of a sentence, and edited in, the vocals that is.
Have fun with this one.

i'd give it a 7, i'm always down for ska and the instrumentals were pretty good, though they could have done a lot more with the vocals. i'm not saying the vocals were absolutely boring, but they didn't move me. fav. part was definitely the xylo/sax solo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gf1h2PMPCAo
i know this song is 6 minutes long but listen to the whole thing. trust me, it's worth it

If it was just an instrumental alone, I probably would rate it a 9. However, I'd have to deduct .5 because the pronunciation of the lyrics seem out of place with the tone the song seems to have set. More specifically, those o's. 8.5, still a really good song, but I'd like it more as an instrumental.
If I can, I'mma edit the soundtrack for the wilderness to be this instead, in my game. I honestly wish this was in there.

Im calling it a 6/10. I got kinda bored with it after awhile, and it was a bit over repetitive.

Chillstep.

I'd give it a 7. I think it could be used for a Cook. Click. Montage video. I like how some of its sounds are.. I personally would describe them as "over sharp". Some of the things didn't stick with me though, like the chimes.

Not bad not bad, 6.7/10.
Better then a 6.5 but not quite a 7. I like his guitarplay but not really his voice.

6.7/10 Grateful Dead's pretty dope, and Idk if it's because it's studio version but this just didn't sound as appealing to me, but it still had a nice vibe and was a fun listen.
I've loved this song more and more with every listen.

7/10. It was a very low-energy tune with a nice, chill beat but I don't really like vocals in electronic music.
And on that note, let's get some high-energy vibes goin'.

i don't really like electronic music any more, but i used to be a DJ so i still kinda have an ear for it. 7/10 on this one as well. i have never been huge on drum and bass but this one had at least an interesting beat, and i do like the intro, because i didn't know what direction it was going to take at first and then it just went there. i was pleasantly surprised. it changes a little, but really not enough diversity to make it a 10/10
anyways, I'm seeing this band tomorrow with some other wicked good artists and i'm totally pumped.

Oh well, all in all id say its a 5.5-6/10.
Lets take things to a different level.

Drums are ok, Guitars are good enough. In all honesty, Corey is a good vocalist when he is singing, not when he is screaming.
Overall, 6/10

ahh yes, Skream. one of the pioneers of dubstep. i'd give this a sold 7.5, it's a pretty good song. i definitely like the vocals, the dubstep is aight. kinda repetitive but that's chill. not a 10 because other than being pretty catchy, it doesn't really do much for me musically. but overall it's a good song

I like most Staind songs although I haven't heard but 5 or 6 of them from Pandora and the radio.. I don't really listen to much rock for some reason aside from what comes on the radio but they're probably in my top 15 bands, always has powerful lyrics and sound to it.
Anyone wanna try some Beats Antique?

7/10 very chill, and I enjoyed it.. The vocalist kind of reminded me of Wingnut Dishwashers Union. But I wasn't really digging the lyrics too much. I'd listen to more of them, though.
Speaking of Wingnut Dishwashers Union..

4/10, do not like. vocals are just... blegh, track itself is mediocre.
Anyway, time for some ÐебоScrub!

7/10 solid track, very soothing to listen to. some parts got a little boring, but the song had enough diversity throughout that it wasnt too bad.

8/10 Liked everything about it but the vocals. They just aren't my ideal sound
-
Muffins: 7/10, I enjoyed the vocals. And everything went together. But not much else I can think of.
Nuclear: 8/10, I like what they did to the drums, sounded a bit off and give it a slight unique sound. Reminded me of............. .... I forget their name, dang.
Eagle: 8.75/10 (can I do that, even?), I was hoping to see a fast progression, but after listening in to it, the guitar was exactly where it should've been (and then the amp up was perfect.) Overall, pretty decent song. Would listen to again.
Billy: 8/10, Lyrics seemed pretty crude (good thing,) and it seemed like a melangé, with its guitar, and harmonica going up in there. Couldn't discern the genre that fast, left me thinking.
Leet: 8.5/10, I liked the vibe it gave off, seemed to be a sort of chill beat there. Was hoping for a *little* less repetition, but nbd.
Eagle: 6/10, It seemed pretty Plain Jane in my tastes, but I'd listen to it. Nothing really stood out too much. :P
I don't usually get feels and chills from songs, but this is one.

Pillz - Dunno how I missed yours. 8.5/10, was a fan of all the distortion. Reminds me of the kind of soundtracks played in Dystopia-based movies.
Blad - Gonna let someone else rate/post for that. Yessir.

That was pretty good actually, solid 8/10 or 8.5ish. Im not a big fan of this type of rock any more but this was pretty good in comparison to the shit I used to listen to.

Fucking remixes of this kind are incredible.

5/10
That type of music isn't what I'm into, no matter how many times I try and like it. The beat was good though, props to it making me tap my feet to it.

7/10, wasn't outright hilarious, but i did chuckle heartily several times so i'll give it that. musically it wasn't bad either, the vocals were relatively catchy
this is a band that some friends of mine are in, and they've actually made quite a name for themselves in the emo community

I quite liked it actually.
Then they started screaming.
Holy fuck that screaming.
Well. Ill be fair with a 6.5-7/10. Like it was all right. But shit that screaming ruined it for me.
I've recently discovered the awesomeness that is Chance the acid rapper.
