Hello everyone. I am here to arm you with the knowledge of the ancients. Today we will be learning the dos
and don'ts when making any machinima. Here is a list.
1. Only film with fraps or source recorder.
2. Make sure you have a widescreen, seriously guys get with the times.
3. Always double check your footage. Look for steam popups, user huds, lag, glitches, errors, etc.
4. Plan ahead, Really how hard is it to write a bit of something before you just go and start filming stuff randomly.
5. Know your actors, make sure if you are making a machinima with a story that the actors are reliable and are not likely to flake at random times.
6. Never copy other ideas, this seems to be a new fad amongst most directors now-a-days, Always spamming HAX, Vagineer, and a bunch of over used game audio.
7. Think outside the box, try to come up with something fun and original that everyone can enjoy.
8. Don't be a dick director, trust me 4 out of 5 machinima makers are complete assholes and think they deserve the world. Don't be a D-bag, just give your fans a hug, instead of kicking them in the nuts.
9. Don't pick fights with other directors. Trust me drama is everywhere in this shitty cinema world. Make sure that you leave your fur drama at the door, no one wants to hear your bullshit.
10. "Have fun" that's what gaben says at least. I would take this last bit of advice to heart though, if you're not having fun then there is no point in making a machinima.
Just follow these rules and I'm sure you will make it somewhere in this super spammed video fad, Trust me...
