As far as recommendations go I think it really depends on the person's subjective taste. Theres really no way of knowing if someone is going to enjoy something or not. I remember when I first starting watching anime I would only watch shounen like dbz, inuyasha and yu yu hakusho. It was only after I tried different things and got older did I expand my taste.

I'd pick CS:GO, I've put a lot of hours into CS:S but I prefer GO now. Once you get used to the difference in feel it's great. All in all it's a better package, more balanced and has a higher skill cap.

Can't specify on why i find it to be zillion times better than any other movie i've seen (okay maybe not counting the LotR saga).
It's just that feeling and atmosphere i get from it.
