Solved Applications / [Hidden] Wooley
« on: January 06, 2014, 12:00:58 AM »
In game name: IsYn Wooley

Were you recommended by an admin? Wooley recommends Wooley

Age: 25

What country are you from (and time zone): USA EST

Link to your steam page: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197992913687/

Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:16323979

Do you have past admin experience: I am a Veteran Admin, was previously Hidden Admin

What makes you want to apply for an admin: I find myself playing Hidden much more now and I am tired of bothering Red and Dbag whenever someone decides its time to relentlessly TK or break simple rules like sitting in a corner doing nothing.

What admin-like qualities do you possess: Fair/Fun/Experienced

Do you use a Microphone: Whenever the game allows me to, it really dislikes USB mics and on some maps it is all garbled.

Please list at least 3 CG rules in your own words and why they're important to CG:
Do not talk about you know what and how to get it within the community...I have said too much. (It keeps us from getting shut down stupidly)
Please partake in generating traffic within the servers and the forums. (To keep the community alive)
Tolerance...(everyone is equally worth a bullet to the face...in the game that is)

Additional Notes:
I am aware that I left this post of Hidden due to the rules and punishment standards. I feel that at the time I was soured by the rules that I was happily pushing on the ttt server. The strict and conciseness of it all had me ignorant to the fact that different HA different rules.

I will play ball and abide.

Thank you,

Is this how people in boston sound like?

Post things that you come across that are creepy.

I am not saying to go look or google it, just when you see something that makes you say "What a creepy fuck".

Post it!

3 hipsters call up digital storm and say build us a mega rig for our blog...

The End.

And I agree with Finnie Quad SLi is a bitch to mess with and in reality by the time there is a game that actually requirre that much horse power it will have been compacted down to a single card.

Spending $4k on graphics cards to play PC games where we live in a console whore world is just retarded. The games are not that demanding yet...just poorly coded...like Crysis 1 =_=

InnerShea also offered the same service, and I tried to PM him about it but no response yet. It'd probably be better to have you supporting it instead though, but if people play; I'm down.
That's the reason I am posting this to see if it will be worth it. If wooley puts his server up though I may help him instead so that way there is more support behind one served instead of tiny following behind a lot of servers

Your help would be greatly appreciated...I have added you to friends, I think the only thing stopping me before was the fact that I highly doubted being able to find you by searching for Dbag, but I was wrong you were the #1 search result. -_-

Admin Resignation / Re: Old Crow

CG needs to be recreated into something else.

100% true. But it is going to take a lot of work to get it there. It is an uphill battle on a slippery slope covered in molten rock falling on top of us.

We need less talk and more action. Push the cart!

Crow, thank you for all the effort. I hope that you will some day let us learn from your experiences.

Name of the map: TTT_Nightmare_Church_B1

In Which server do you wish the map to be added? TTT

Link to the map? (if possible): http://gmod.gamebanana.com/maps/177230

Why you think it should be put on the server: This map looks pretty good. http://www.conjointgaming.com/forum/index.php?topic=11068.msg147078;topicseen#new

Additional comments: ADD THIS MAP!!

The Internet is immortal...this content is property of the community. You agreed to these rules when you signed up as a member.

This is like trying to run for president of Germany when you were Hitler youth back in the day.

I feel that this should be a lesson to you. That some things are beyond your control, and I also suggest you take a look at the other options presented to you by one of our other very intelligent members.

Thanks,

-Wooley

Spoiler for Hidden:
TL;DR
If you're saying that the forums are meant to use 1080p and only 1080p, then you're not running the forums correctly.

Dat spoiler, sounds about right to me ;D

Actually I would agree so long as you replaced the word forums with Websites, because it pretty much applies to all websites.

I am here at work not in 1080p...Like 1080p is the best we can do.

How about you hop on 4k and then get on my level -_-

Actually 4k is retarded...but I have to agree with the masses here that the themes and website should be optimized for the majority and not all whacked out and fucked up on lower res users.

I will also insert that calling someone poor in pretty mean Inject. Regardless if it was sarcasm. It is just something you do not do. Since how do you know they are not living in a very struggled lifestyle where they have to dumpster dive for food?

I love the concept. However, after watching the videos the game seems very empty consisting on only 1 objective...spend countless hours building your ship...then crash it into other ships...

Yeah...that won't get old in a day or so. The Frame rates drop harder than 67th way v6

... That's just them showing off crashes, and the destruction in the alpha, there will be lots more then that, silly x.x

Anyway, I told you guys about this, and it's really fun, I enjoy it a lot,

I'm sorry, but both of the videos on steam are just show casing crashes...which lead me to believe there is nothing more to this game then build ship...crash ship...repeat.

At least in interstellar marines they have a showcase of all the features they are going to and want to add to the game right there in the steam video.

I know potentially what is going to happen... now...With this game I watched two videos that to me say, we don't know what we want. "Aint it fun to smash shit up?"

yes...but for how long?

This must be a turning point...Cause I actually agree with Inject here.

I was under the impression that Indie developers didn't want to be like IW or DICE or those other big name companies.

Yet they are following the trend of releasing stuff long before it is ready for prime time.

Back in my day Beta/Alpha was free.

Why is it that these silver spoon azzhats think it is okay to beg for money for something that doesn't work.

The peons are paying good money for garbage that may never come to fruition. It is like investing in a jetpack when all you have seen in verbiage talking about how great it is going to be. Without actually seeing a prototype or design specs.

Why are we dropping our standards? It is bad enough that we have to deal with shitty console ports.

Alpha Beta or Omega...I should not be seeing your massive frame rate lag in your video...if you want to bring something up to show case level you better get back to work.

Maybe, just maybe...if you want to make a video...you should do something to make that game lag less...turn down the graphics...stop playing on your e machine...IDK it just bothers the fuck out of me that someone is going to drop money on something that to me would be unplayable.

Well...it's their money and they can piss it away however they choose.

Our rigs are so powerful today they shouldn't lag unless against 67th_way_v6 or the most recent release of the AAA game of the year.

Even the shittiest maps (if optimized) are playable.
