I don't play games we keep track of rank, also in ZM we change names on a daily basis you should see some of the name silliness.

The other night some guy came in the server with the name ASSASSIN MASTER and we all decided it was hilariously stupid and named ourselves things like Assassin Apprentice and Assassin Journeyman...
Clearly TTT is a game with less silliness

The reason for this thread is:

Yes, every time you change your name it counts as a new "profile" on the leaderboards. So if you care about rank and all that shit (which I don't), don't change your name.

Pretty sure all points earned under the name would continue to accumulate under that name, if its just on gametracker.
