I am shocked. I mean its just a video game, why would you get rid of in game items. To make them rare? seems like a lame excuse

So long as they don't start retiring other hats.

Sometimes you have to force an in game economy like this, it changes the flavor of it.

I agree that the idea is stupid.

But it is their item they own it they can do whatever they want with it.

The fact that people waste hard earned money just to buy a digital artical of clothing that 90% of the time they cannot see and they never actually own it is beyond me.

I mean I understood and played Magic The Gathering. I see the point in trading Physical cards for others or even in some cases money, but holy hell this is like buying WoW gold. It's stupid.

TF2 was a great FPS...now it is a F2P Hat simulator. If it weren't for Saxton Hale mod. I would rarely play it.

what are you talking about? hat sim 2012 is great.

In all seriousness, I myself have no problem with spoiling myself (using my in game metal earned through drops of course) on the occasional hat or paint, but I would much rather have a cleaver to smash into someones face or a shiny new flamethrower.
