Xcom EW Framerate issues

Iv'e been Playing Xcom for a while now, and it has ran smoothley up until about a week ago. Then all of a sudden it began to run on about 20-15 frames and i Can't figure out why. It's not my comp, just wondering if anyone else has had any problems like this because apparently it's a very buggy game and I haven't found a solution yet. Haven't reinstalled just cause I don't want to ruin a current save. :'(                                     Also Crashes like a Motha Fuka.
