General Gaming Talk / Nintendo done making consoles??
« on: April 26, 2013, 03:08:28 AM »
http://www.gamesradar.com/nintendo-admitting-it-cant-hang-competition/

They cancelled their E3 presentation. Could this be the sign that they have finally admitted that maybe they made a mistake, or are they planning on showing something much more awesome next year, that will blow everybody away?

Debate Forum / Another gun control topic

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2013/apr/21/boston-marathon-bombs-us-gun-law

This article made me think about this issue again. I just think its crazy that more people died being shot that day then from the bombing (although there were many many injured, which is not brought up).

I just don't get how we can't even pass anything concerning background checks. I don't think its any violation of the 2nd amendment that loopholes be closed and guns are better tracked for people that buy guns.

Thoughts hos?

General Gaming Talk / Sins game starting April 24th
« on: April 21, 2013, 10:19:21 PM »
Who wants to start playing some Sins??

Probably a small game of three to five people. Either we could do against AI or against each other. Start the game around
2200 EST. Something we could save and play weekly until it ends.

Oh and I will start creating a map sometime this week for an awesome huge game!

In The News / Shooting at Marijuana meeting

Luckly nobody got killed, but I'm curious to see who the shooter is. Was it a illegal drug dealer? Was it some disgruntled "old values" guy or was it just a run of the mill escalation of a fight?

Seems like its going to be far too much. Guess Disney wants to make uber amounts of money, and worry about quality later.

In The News / "The slippery slope"
« on: March 27, 2013, 12:24:29 AM »
http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2013/03/26/jim-demint-on-opposition-to-gay-marriage/2021867/

This ladies and gentlemen, is a classic case of the "slippery slope". How can one say that wedlock between a man and a women is the foundation for limited government? Where does it make sense that if we allow anybody to marry anybody that the government is going to take over??

This is what boggles my mind. Look at what recent laws passed in ND (and lets not debate what the law is about, lets just not go there). If Republicans are for limited government, then why did they pass those laws in ND? That would be a huge example of government interrupting peoples lives, but guess its OK to cherry pick laws as long as you agree with it.

I'm not say the Democrats are any better, because they aren't but its time to start a revolution because bulls#it like this is why we are being held back so much lately. We have a broken prison system, a broken education system, a broken infrastructure and at this rate the pay scale is pushing billions of dollars to a select few yet making everybody else broke. We have "moral crusaders" who barely practice what they preach and too many idiots drowning out actual facts when it comes time to make policies.

Gah I feel like moving to Canada and Norway!

/Rant over

In The News / Red light cameras
« on: March 19, 2013, 10:49:57 AM »
http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2013/03/18/red-light-cameras-lawsuits/1985537/

I remember the first time I saw that governments were installing them to make a profit, and that they are run by for profit corporations. Its basically the biggest scam since War Z. Not only that but they decrease yellow light time to catch people, and this has been shown to actually increase crashes.

Hopefully none of you have to deal with this BS. I don't yet but it might just be a matter of time.

The Art Forum / A sort of writing project for Crow
« on: March 15, 2013, 01:04:45 AM »
So, I intend to make a website that deals with combat aircraft. Its something that just isn't on the web and well the only source to really check out is Wikipedia, but that's the problem.

Tell me, what do you think about it? This is a few of the pages I have created so far.
