Minecraft / Nation Minecraft
« on: April 28, 2012, 01:19:33 PM »
Talking about all this new society stuff, wouldn't it be cool to have a minecraft server that we could experiment with some of these things? Sure cant do anything with the transportation (a mine cart in every garage, a chicken in every pot) but what do you think?

We could use a territory mod, create nations and just have some fun!

What do you think?

Debate Forum / Originality: Is anything original today
« on: March 26, 2012, 01:24:01 PM »
Totally making this debate cause of the Hunger games topic

Personally nothing is original today. Humans have been around long enough to where stories/movies/whatever has been done before at some time before, such as any story about a epic strong man (Hercules, Superman) is/was influenced by the Epic of Gilgamesh or how Batman is influenced by Zorro. Fallout was influenced by the game Wasteland which was influenced by Mad Max which was influenced by whatever. That is not to say that I care. Every redone story has a different interpretation, a different hook or spin on things. Sure the core idea can be the same, but Mad Max doesn't have super mutants running around does it. Again same idea with a new spin on it. The point is if it is entertaining or appealing to me or you or whoever, does it really matter if it is "original"

General Gaming Talk / Microsoft Flight
« on: February 23, 2012, 02:41:50 AM »
Last year after the crew that made Microsoft Flight Sim X finished the expansion they got shut down. It sucked too because the games they made over the years were stellar (if you like sims like I do at least)

So then for some odd reason Microsoft decided to make a new studio and reboot the series. I pray it will be as good, although I know that they are putting more dumbing down options to get other people on board, so long as they keep it possible to work as a full sim.

Thoughts

Old Time Aways / Old Crow School time away
« on: February 20, 2012, 01:50:26 PM »
Too much school to play video games and I need to focus on it, I skipped my first class again today which isn't helping to raise my grade. I hate having to wake up early!

Time frame: probably the next week due to midterms then I have break. After that though I need to get my A's and B's so possibly March thru April and I start flying in two weeks so I need to do homework on that.

In The News / UN Veto
« on: February 08, 2012, 06:40:52 PM »
It has been a couple of days since it happened but what do you gentlemen/ladies think about the veto by Russia and China for the resolution about Syria?

I mean come on the Russians are selling weapons to Syria, which is probably the sole reason that they decided to use their veto, that and being scared the same thing (though highly unlikely) could happen to them. China more then likely has the same feelings on the matter, since the Chinese government solely exists to just make sure that communism stays put and democracy never happens any time soon.

Its quite ridiculous that everybody else has to sit here while the civilians of Syria get bombed to hell. Being American I know I don't have room to talk *cough Iraq cough* but even the Arab league wants nothing to do with Syria and wants Assad gone, it just sucks to sit and watch as this happens.
