Title: Admins asking players why they killed players.
Post by: zZup on June 25, 2013, 04:55:20 PM
I'd like to request that admins use asay or at least just say in chat to ask players why they killed others, I can't count how many times I've been slayed just because I've taken my headphones off.

So yeah. Please can admins do this?

I've always used chat/asay for that.

Some other admins aren't always as mindful. My apologies on their behalf.  parrot

They are supposed to do this regardless.

I'm pretty sure they're supposed to use a form of text to question players if using voice chat fails. All admins know this.
I smell badmin.

I know i havnt been able to play lately because of certain things, but i always warn in all chat because

1: It sticks out more
2: Its more reliable than voice (and I rarely use mic)
3: Theres no question of whether you asked. Its in the logs, therefore if you miss it, it is your fault.
4: We are told to :P

Yes admins should be using all forms of communication to a player before he or she slays said person. As sometimes people like you stated; take there headphones off or mute sound.

I actually always use @@ to ask... then if I get impatient I'll talk on mic but there's no way not to read @@ say so it's primary for us. Which admin didn't use it? Or do you not know?
