I'm making this post because I want a place to vent and I also kind of want to hear stories. I've been accused of hacking in almost all of the games I've played, the most recent game being Hidden: Source. every other time i come on a server and i'm doing well, i'm called a "hacker". Recently, i got banned from the MxMadMan Hidden Source server because and admin thought i was using texture hacks. Like really?? REALLY?! but it's cool, i ain't even mad about it.
anyways, tell me what you've been banned for, i'm interested in hearing about it

Hey guys, this post is gonna be kinda long so you can tl;dr it if you wish. i take a class for my Game Design major called Elements of Game design and for our final project we have to create an analog game and perfect it in the coming weeks until the end of the semester. I have created not only the concept for it, but i have also set up the rules which (i'm hoping) i'll be able to attach to this post. if you are into games and gaming and care to read it, that would be great. any feedback in general would be really helpful. tell me what you guys think! thanks

I know we had a thread about favorite songs and whatnot, but I really felt that there should be a favorite band thread. I think the relationship between band and listener is a very personal one and what your favorite band is can say a lot about you. Also, for the sake of finding new and good music, that is beloved by someone else. Tell us who your favorite band is and why. I'll start. My favorite band is Brand New. I've always loved them, but I've just come to terms with how important they are to me. Their songs and lyrics have helped me out with some rough shit in my life and I will always owe that to them. Not only that but they are just an all-around good band. You can't pin their sound to any particular genre (save Your Favorite Weapon)- they are just Brand New. They manage to pull off being good and catchy at the same time, which I personally think is a valuable trait for a band. And the lyrics man, the lyrics. ^first song I ever listened to by them.

just as the title says, can someone name some good, FREE, independently-made video games I could possibly download that won't tax my shitty video drive too much? just like something I can download, and jump right into?
just so you can get an idea of how my PC handles, I can run most Valve games fine except on the newer ones like L4D2 and TF2 I have to lower my graphics settings completely, but then it runs fine. I just want shit I can play and have fun with on my bad computer.

I stopped being admin when a group of hackers took over the server and permanently banned all the regular server admins including me Why you wish to be admin: I think servers should be fun, friendly places for people to play, and I want people to feel welcome. that can't happen if there are people who teamkill, mic spam, and insult other players and make them feel uncomfortable. It's wrong and it drives away players. I've seen many a (Hidden) server get emptied because of rampant trolling. I just don't want that to happen when I go on. What are some good qualities you possess: I know the rules (all the obvious ones at least), i can be patient, and if I have a problem with something going on, I'm not afraid to speak out and tell somebody what I really think. since this forum has been dead since before I even made an account here, I decided to revive it a little. today we will talk about something called... wait for it - THE FRIENDZONE.
so what is the friendzone?
by my understanding, it is when a guy befriends a girl, either for the sake of a platonic friendship or with the intentions of "getting to know her", and takes interest in her, and gets rejected because the girl thinks of him "more as a friend" or "like a brother", etc., etc. From the Friendzone-ee's point of view, it's because he was too much of a friend to her, which de-sexualized him in her eyes. (and don't get me wrong, there are girls who claim "friendzone" as well)
Personally, I believe that "friendzone" is a term made up by people who are too proud/afraid to admit that the person they were interested in just never found them attractive. i feel like people who claim friendzone feel like they are entitled to a relationship just because they were nice. and that's just not how the real world works.
so yeah, what are your thoughts/opinions on the friendzone? had any experiences where you've felt this way?

recently, I've been listening a lot to bands like NAILS, Full of Hell, and His Hero is Gone
they're fucking crazy. does anyone know any other good bands in the same caliber as NAILS, HHiG, Converge, and FoH? like not youth crew or anything, but just insane stuff like that? any help would be good!
