Removing it doesn't make it not exist...

Lol....never wouldn't even known about that post if he hadn't said something. Kind of sad that it's still bothering him this much almost a year after the fact.

That is, unless he's trying to get admin elsewhere and doesn't want that post to come back and bite him in the ass. Either way, doubt it's going to get removed.

Besides, this is the internet, I'm sure there's an archive of this message board somewhere that wouldn't change regardless of whatever happens to the post here.

I do that too.

Everything that Lenin said, but especially:

That is, unless he's trying to get admin elsewhere and doesn't want that post to come back and bite him in the ass. Either way, doubt it's going to get removed.

Did a quick google search of his SteamID; it's the second result.

OP: If you want admin on another server, just prove that you're better than all that stuff in the post. And if you're still like that and that's why you want it removed...well, you don't deserve admin.

Again, you can request a link deletion on Google. Search for that webmaster shit.

You MIGHT need to have premission from the webmaster (INJECT) to further remove it.

Plus, you can always edit your own posts.

Nope. You can't when a Mod locks it.

Honestly, something like an admin app is probably one of the few things that you wouldn't want to ever be deleted from the forums. Kind of silly to remove all the past evidence of someone failing to become an admin should they attempt it again.

I would like this post removed because it's bothering me, and I don't want to run for admin anywhere else, I could care less anymore, so please don't misinterpret me. I just don't like it because it's the first thing in a google search of my steam ID, like mentioned above, and it's not the fact that I failed for admin that I don't want people to see, I could care less about another person's opinion halfway across the world sitting behind a computer, really what's a person behind a computer going to change in my real life? Am I going to drop out of school, lose a job, get murdered from the internet? No, the post just bothers ME.

Also, I don't ask for Admin even if I want to be one, It makes me seem like I want the position for abusive reasons. I'd rather just get familiar with the players and authority and if they offer me a position and need extra administrators to help, then I could gladly accept it if I can fill in the requirements (such as x hours a week of play or any other thing) to help, It's just when I was a kid I rather saw being an admin as a "cool and respectable" position where I could help the community by watching the server for anyone that does outlawed actions, I was also a frequent ( and somewhat respected ) player on CG TTT and people asked me why I wasn't an admin already / were telling me to run for admin, It was just something I would've liked when I was younger.

Skipping to the point, I just want this post removed because I don't play CG gaming anymore and the thread just bothers ME, that's all. Therefore, it would be nice if I could delete my own post / someone deletes it for me please and thank you.

You could keep the post for reference / database about admin applications, I don't mind, I'd just like the post removed.

Well if the reasons stated are true then I don't see a reason why not personally. Although I think an edit of the post or something would be better if it's the content of the post that bothers you. Old admin applications are semi-important to keep around for reference however. Ultimately it's Injects call I believe.

If you couldn't care less about it, then you wouldn't be making a post about it a year after the fact. Just let it go, dude. It's honestly not that big of a deal, and you're making it worse than it ever really was.

Or we move the thread to the admin only board for our own reference later?

I think if anyone DOES edit it or delete it, it should be cataloged for reference at a later point in time. In case he applys for admin again.

It's always going to be available to whoever wants it, even if contingency plan KEEP CALM AND DELETE EVERYTHING is in effect. No point.

This is what I find funny. He said it doesn't effect him in real life. Then says that it bothers him on here. Kinda meaning the opposite because him is real. Anyways, This is prolly because people can use his steam ID to find out if he was banned/or denied admin app a long time ago. What he was posting earlier was probably before he went and made his admin post to wherever he is at. XP

I don't understand why you all are arguing with me whether I can delete my own post or not, I'm just asking nicely for my past post which was locked from my own ability to be deleted, to be deleted since I don't want it and because I myself can't delete it since it has been locked for a reason I don't seem to see / understand. That's all I'm asking you guys, I haven't gotten any proper responses yet and you guys are confusing me negatively here.

So please, can you guys delete the post? I'm getting picked at right now.

EDIT:I read the thread.
Why cant we just unlock it and let him delete it?
Its not that big of a deal and its just something thats bugging him, he regrets it, and wants it gone.

Thank you for understanding me, also I have tried to delete it as you have been asking if that's possible but it says this whenever I click on Remove post.
 An Error Has Occurred!
You are not allowed to delete the first post in a topic.
If you want to delete this topic, click on the Remove Topic link, or ask a moderator/administrator to do it for you.

If you couldn't care less about it, then you wouldn't be making a post about it a year after the fact. Just let it go, dude. It's honestly not that big of a deal, and you're making it worse than it ever really was.

To me it is kind of a big deal, the post is bothering ME, who is the author of the post, and I'd like it deleted, that's all I'm asking, and to me it seems to bother YOU guys when I ask for a post that I made to be deleted under my own request. Yes, the fact is the post is over a year old, but it bothers me.

If you were in my perspective right now, you would understand. And before you say "yeah there's just a post in front of my STEAMID about me failing for admin, so what", don't forget the point that this has been there for over a year now and it's been bothering ME ever since, so I'm just asking nicely for anyone to please rid me of this post because it really is bothering me (my friends sometimes pick at me with this post), and you don't have to understand every single reason why or how it's bothering me, it just bothers me and I'd like it deleted, Thank you.

I think if anyone DOES edit it or delete it, it should be cataloged for reference at a later point in time. In case he applys for admin again.

I am comfortable with you guys keeping it for later reference, this post is on your own property, so you can keep it for reference without my permission anyways, but I'm just requesting you guys delete it for me so no other person other (than people who have already read my post) sees this post.

Thanks in regards, Jad

EDIT: For the bottom post, SORRY about that I haven't used forums in a while, I'll merge the posts back into one (done).

Just going to say:

Please don't double/triple post, there's an edit button for a reason.

Quote
23)  No Double, Triple (more then one post of the same user in a row) Posting. The "Modify Post" button is always an option.

He can't, even I as a Head Admin must first Unlock a thread in order to edit it.

The Internet is immortal...this content is property of the community. You agreed to these rules when you signed up as a member.

This is like trying to run for president of Germany when you were Hitler youth back in the day.

I feel that this should be a lesson to you. That some things are beyond your control, and I also suggest you take a look at the other options presented to you by one of our other very intelligent members.

Thanks,

I don't know how to though, and why would it bother you guys to just hide the post from non-admins / delete the post, I would REALLY appreciate it from you guys if you would just be so nice to just remove the post, or just hide it from public.

Why should this be a "lesson" to me? This was just something I thought was good for me over a year ago as I was a frequent player of CG and I played on the TTT servers nonstop, therefore I thought I could help the community out by becoming an admin as I played on the servers, and I supported the server by inviting all of my friends. But I have stopped playing TTT and CG gaming, and I somewhat regret this post and it bothers me. I loved playing on CG, I shouldn't be getting a "lesson" of getting my own post to be publicly displayed with my STEAMID. You guys don't even need to delete the whole thing, like I said it is YOUR property, I'm just requesting nicely that you all please remove this post from public / viewing from any non-admins as I don't want it on my steam ID, it's the first thing on google search results.

Someone just give me an official answer so I know what to do please and thank you.

I feel like this shouldn't have gone on for three pages. Just delete that thread he made a year ago and remember the name "Jad9" on a list of "people we don't want as an admin" or something. Jeez.

If it really bothers you, make a new steam account, link it up to your old (current) account using Steam Family Sharing, we keep this and your new steamID is free.

May be a roundabout way, sure, but it's a solution, as it looks like nobody's really doing anything about this.

Are you serious? Make a new steam account just because my own post which I have made can't be deleted?
Please, just someone unlock this and delete this, I feel like you guys are playing a joke on me or something by telling me to just to move on, and like Billy has said, a thread about an author requesting for a post to be removed really shouldn't take this long, I still haven't gotten a proper answer or solution to this problem.
