Admin Time Away Forum / Re: No Swedish Desires for Hidden & Personal Life
« on: September 17, 2013, 10:18:03 PM »
I think someone said they couldn't view the rules earlier, but anyway, I made an account before hand and can view them. Cash edited some of the rules and removed the giant block of text at the bottom, so he definitely knows what is going on.

EDIT: After refreshing the rule page, I apparently have been perma-banned from their forum. I didn't say anything to them or post. That seems a bit harsh. Oh well.

EDIT2: The ban reason appears to be "Offensive comments to me via Steam messages." I have been talking to none of them on steam... I'm guessing they made some kind of mistake.

Fluffalupagus, nobody's trying to stop him from leaving. The issue is that he plagiarized a fair chunk of the forum.

Pretty much ever formated/rules type thing written by CashPrizes seems to be a copy. Admin application, admin abuse, admin resignation, admin time away, etc.

Hmm... The rules are pretty much identical, minus the fact about 5 rules are removed.

I think it's funny that this part specifically is identical.

It's hilarious the copyright part was copied, considering they must have at least skimmed it.

A lot of the forum board names are exactly the same too.

EDIT: Christovski beat me to the punch.

Zombie Panic: Source / Contagion Kickstarter

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/monochromellc/contagion

So, contagion is in early beta. 100 keys were given out over the weekend in the steam group. Now the kickstarter is up. Anyone planning on donating?

The map design is pretty zps-y, but some of the game mechanics are a bit different. There's a pvp gamemode where survivors have to avoid the zombies while looking for guns and killing each other, I enjoy that quite a bit. Overall it's looking pretty good, and only going to get better at this point. I hope the kickstarter succeeds.

They might be able to be online, but cannot play at the same time. It is a bit like lending your account, except they can't fuck with anything and you can booth them off at any time when you want to play. I don't see this doing much harm.

Um, who is "Guvna"?  I've never heard of such a person in CG.
I believe he was talking about this Guvnuh.

I had guessed that it was an error on their part, and probably not intentional. However, I was never told after what had occurred. I have yet to receive a PM or something telling me an apology or something along those lines. Is a possible explanation too much to ask ? Apparently yes it is.

I get the fact that the CL have their own personal lives to attend to. That's fine with me. But, I see a lack of responsiveness too. We don't know everything with that ZM crisis, so it would be nice to know what happened there. Especially because it has caused a lot of tension within the community, and so many people have requested that information became public.

Heck look how frequent Announcements are in the community.
Did you PM them asking for an explanation or are you just expecting them to? If they wanted to remove your admin they would've done it. I doubt they're flipping the switch to fuck with you. It was a minor inconvenience for a little while earlier today, not a big deal.

Anyway, what do you want them to do to make it transparent? Public admin office? There are so many reasons that would be a terrible idea. If you want information from a CL, you're going to have to make an active effort to talk to them. Whether or not they respond is one thing, but I don't see how you could make all of their communications "transparent" the things they want to say will be said, everything else won't.

We should be able to just talk to HAs and CLs like they're normal fucking people, and not the Illuminati. How about that? That so hard?
Apparently yes.

EDIT: Unknown, have you ever considered that they might've accidentally removed your admin and not realized? My admin was removed earlier today, it could very easily have been an accident while doing so.

The warning is the 10 day mark. The actual rule says 14 days. I'm sticking with the 14 days.

GarrysMod / Re: How is Unknown Ghosting ?
« on: September 05, 2013, 12:20:20 AM »
I'm confused, are you asking them if they want a weapon outside of game or in game chat? If it is in game chat, you are calling yourself out (or T-baiting) and they can shoot you. If it is outside of game, you are telling specific people you are a T giving them an edge against other players which is ghosting.

EDIT: I didn't read closely enough. So, if there's no out of game communication, you are simply goofing around and being a bit of a dick to your T buddies. Not any rules broken as far as I can see.

Ban Appeal / Re: Bigsister ttt ban appeal
« on: September 04, 2013, 03:10:23 AM »
Christmastown isn't even a big map. And even three rounds? I highly doubt that. Not only that, but the ban took place at one AM. Your screenshots indicate that its 9pm in your steam menu. Meaning you just fabricated those screenshots earlier today. Why would you be taking screenshots during your download of the map anyways?
He may not be in the same timezone, in the OP he did say he was banned a bit past 10pm, so that matches up.

All I see here is a lot of people stirring the drama pot. Maybe you guys should sit down and talk about it without the name calling and massive-conspiracy accusations.

EDIT: Also this thread title is gross.

EDIT2: I still think resigning your admin is a crappy way of trying to deal with problems/drama.
